I think they will get a CBA done this week, no real reason to believe they will I know, just going with gut feeling on this.
If Daly and Steve Fehr are leading the charge I believe, their two more level headed, compromising guys compared to their supposed "leader".

What we need is fan from every team there, holding hands and singing Kumbaya. Maybe then they'll get the message.

I have been told that the issues related to HRR are no longer a factor and both sides are speaking the same language.
Interesting.

The fact that the media never knew where they met, and what the topics were, are very positive to the two sides wanting to do a deal. They are trying to find common ground to get a deal. And they both want NHL players in NHL rinks as soon as possible.
That's more opinion/speculation, but also very interesting.

Sometime soon: "sides break off talks once again" along with "players still stand behind Fehr" and a little "Bettman pissed".

If there's no NHL hockey this year, that means I have to come down to the Twin Cities to watch the Timberwolves for my winter entertainment. *shudders*

NHL and NHLPA meeting ended at 10:15 ET after 7 hours. Meeting tomorrow. Both sides reserve comment. This is good, I think

7 hours? Wait a minute, you're telling me they actually met long enough for them to work up an appetite?

They should have ordered pizza. Then you have Darren Dreger disguised as the delivery boy. Deliver the pizza complete with a bug, so we can find out what the #@$! is going on.

Rumor has it that 5 of the 7 hours were spent negotiating where the next meeting is going to be.

Lots of positive tweets are out. I'm afraid to be optimistic but I can't help myself.
