Oilers are in a great spot to take whoever they want and run with it if they somehow end up with the first overall again. their D pool looks just fine if we're talking about the future; if they want immediate help at D they could take Mackinnon and trade one of their other great forwards for a good roster D from someone for an immediate defensive upgrade and probably not too big of a hit on the O side.
