When do Cubs tickets go on sale?

Sorry to waste a whole thread on this question but i've never bought baseball tickets before. My dad is (for some reason) a Cubs fan and despite my Sox loyalty i want to take him to a Cubs game this year.

I tried looking around their website but they only have these Holiday ticket deals that cover 4 games. I only need tickets to one game and i'd like to buy them soon enough to where i can give them to him on Christmas morning.

When do Cubs tickets go on sale? Thanks in advance

If memory serves, single game tickets go on sale in late February/early March, with multi-game tickets going on sale a week or two before that.

Don't buy them face value. There will be plenty of opportunities to get them cheaper once the losing begins. We have one or maybe two rough years to go! I definitely need to go see Rizzo and the September call-ups.

Doubt there will be anyone worth seeing this September.

Vizcaino will be up before then, but there could be some prospects that come up that we get in a trade.

If the Cubs can pull off what the Edmonton Oilers have done with the draft, they should be in very good shape in a few years.

Carlos Rodon, NC State pitcher, 2014 draft.

He's the next big thing.
