Illinois football will suck for a while now, but here's hoping that Illinois basketball's at least decent. Got hopes for that program.

And while you're down there, be sure to go to Illini club hockey games at the Big Pond. Only ACHA, but a lot of fun and usually has great atmosphere.

Oh, and best pizza on the planet's at Papa Dels on Green Street. Go there often.

Ready for the outcome (whatever that may be) to occur soon.

No kidding. I'm an hour ahead, have an 8:30 tomorrow and still have to watch the Walking Dead. I want this game over so I can get on with my night.

I might get a Giants shirt if they close this out. I normally get shirts from postseasons that I like. I was really entertained with their run.

Was pulling for the Tigers, but have nothing against the Giants, so good for them.

HAHAHAHA! Way to stand there and watch your season end Miggy.

Did Prince Fielder think they won the World Series after beating the Yankees, him hitting .071 shows he didn't think it mattered.

Hate the Tigers and loved watching them get embarressed, Verlander get's shelled and if it wasn't for a hurricane gifting him a home run tonight Miggy and Field would have combined for a .125 avg. and 1 RBI, pathetic.

Thank God I didn't put any money on the Tigers, they went belly up, guess the Yankees weren't good enough preparation seeing as they played like the Astros against them...only explanation I can come up with, glad to have my money though, lol.

The break killed them. It kills everyone.

Still sucks seeing Detroit win a pennant, but they couldn't get it done, so I'm very happy.

Yeah it does but it wasn't that long of a break because of that rainout, 4 or 5 days. The offense never really got going these playoffs. They averaged 3.2 runs a game, that's just not going to get it done.

Or, you know, maybe he was just slumping like the rest of the team? I find it hard to believe he didn't care, especially in his first WS appearance of his life. Not to mention he is one of the few players out there that actually show some emotion, and that they enjoy playing the game of baseball. That's a pretty ridiculous statement to say he didn't care because his numbers were bad.

The offense just didn't have enough, should have brought V-Mart back, he was supposed to be back by now, guess they didn't want to put him in cold.

I think the most disappointing thing of the series is the fact there isn't a game tonight. There are 50+ MPH wind gusts in Detroit tonight... would have killed to see them play in that, and might have actually watched more than an inning for the first time all series.

Cubs need to spend some big money on pitching or the payroll is going to be an insult to the fans.

My preseason hopes are to avoid another hundred loss season.

Setting the bar very low.

Only hope is to get a few more top picks and hoping Epsteins GM pick Hoyer can draft better than McFail and Hendry.

It's time to start signing pitchers. We should be competitive in 2014, Theo said so himself.
