I'm going into OldJohn mode on this one:

Rask injured?!!

Gee wilikers! I'm stunned!!! Karma.

Unlike most of you, I waited 40 years for a Cup and can now go to my maker satisfied whether they win another one or not. 2011 was epic. Same for the 04 Red Sox.

Difference is, I was able to purchase a boxed set of the 04 Sox yanks and WS complete games. I plan to watch it when I retire.

Serious question: Did they ever make a boxed set of complete games for the B's Cup run? I'd pay serious money for that.

Dafoomie posted all 25 games from 2011 on youtube in HD. Spend a few hours and get them all for free

He did?!!! What a God! Thanks for letting me know that. And, thanks Dafoomie! Dinner on me if we ever meet. (You're invited, too, Lobster, for providing the info!)

Good Lord, so would I. Unfortunately the only thing available is a set of the four Vancouver wins and Game 7 of the Tampa series.

However, NESN is currently re-running the 2011 series on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays (they're on the Montreal series right now) so fire up the DVR. They've said they're televising every game, so they must have gotten permission to use Versus.

Hasn't he only had 1 injury that's held him out for any significant amount of time (being this past spring)?

He missed a few games in his rookie season, and had some off-season surgery, but other than that I don't remember him missing a ton of time. By reading some posts on here you'd think we were talking about Tuukka DiPietro

We were hardly a .500 team when Rask went down...

No Thomas or Rask? That's a cause for concern... Luckily he's OK.

I would like that as a Christmas gift (well maybe birthday) if it was ever made.

They only have a 90min video out, as far as I can tell.

He only missed the final 19 games of last season with his previous groin injury.
Move on. Nothing to see here.

So the good and bad...

1 year deal looks like pure genius!
Bruins could go from contenders to pretenders quick, fast, and in a hurry with shaky goalie play...

This on a Richter Scale of bad news for the Bruins is a 7.5

As noted previously, the four SCF wins, plus Game 7 vs. Tampa, are available in a DVD set.

Maybe Rask should hire Timmy's yoga instructor. Really. You ever seen a guy his age able to bend, fold, staple and mutilate the way Thomas did? I can't recall him ever having groin problems.

Incidentally, this -- THIS RIGHT HERE -- is why you do NOT burn the bridges behind players who leave town, whatever cloud they depart under. Having a door open to TT would have been a good thing right now, but "we have Tuukka, so **** Thomas."

If the media and fans had been gentler at the time, we might have a chance of getting the man back here. But no, Boston was too vicious and Thomas is too proud, so I don't see it ever happening now.
