Was up until 1:30 am waiting for a phone call from a friend that did't come. This is important because, when I'm not at a hockey game, 10:00 pm is the latest bedtime for someone my age
Anyways: there are a few NHL players leaving Europe today to return home because of the "positive signs".
Tobias Enstrom and David Clarkson are both confirmed to have already left EC Red Bull Salzburg as of this morning.
Unrelated. They have some time off and If I remember correctly he tweeted last week (?) that he would be heading back to Boston for that time.
Now whether he goes back or not ......
If he doesn't go back in the next couple days (if theres not word on a done deal) then something has to be wrong. Or he's getting tired of the um... "sights" of switzerland.

Seguin is back in Boston for the last couple of days. Don't know if it's related or not.
Most of the leagues in Europe have this week off because of international games. I'm pretty sure that's why Seguin is back in Boston this week.
But I have to say that I feeling kind a optimistic about a solution to this lockout based on what happen yesterday. Today is gonna be a big day tough, in terms of if we see NHL this season or not.
I have finished (85% anyway) my master's thesis, which is due on Dec. 6, in large part because of the lockout.
Now that I am ready for the hockey season to begin, I've gotta say that when this gets resolved, I for one won't be happy unless it is an 8-10 year deal.
Tired of this stuff every few years.
Me too! Though I'm only 1/3 of the way through mine at this point. January 1st would be a great time to restart Hockey for me.

According to a Salzburg newspaper them leaving was rather a classic case of coach's doghouse.
Obviously they weren't willing to work hard enough at practice and had a quarrel with the coach.

mmm ya that's probably it

Feel free to browse the newspapers yourself, buddy.
I don't care a bit about the team or the two players, but Salzburg has
had a very crappy season so far, and they might have had expected an easier ride before coming over.
Corporations like Red Bull, the sponsor of Salzburg, usually take their commitment to things they invest in quite seriously, I guess.

As @SunGarrioch first reported, BDaly was suppose to be in Ottawa tomorrow. But that might change with CBA talks a possibility.
Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
Hearing both sides in meeting spent first 3-plus hours on revenue sharing (among teams); picking up from last night. Not yet on Make Whole..
