O'Brien again for Senators, 5-1 in 2nd, 2nd of night (9)-PP;
3 EJECTIONS: Fraser, Hextall, and Hagel for 3rd man in on 4th Sens G
I didn't watch the 3rd period. But it was pretty apparent that the Pirates were getting frustrated with that fourth goal. I don't know if Hextall was just pissed off or if he thought he was bringing some fire, but clothes-lining that guy just set off a major scrum, Hagel lost it, and I think the refs lost control from there.
Not a lot good to be said about the 2 periods I watched.
I've wondered for a while about Ray Edwards, because his only AHL playoff appearance under the Yotes organization was those 3 games last year. But while he's coached, we've funneled a few pretty good system defensemen into the big club. I like what I've seen from Szwarz as a bottom 6er too, and he's an Edwards trainee. And a good portion of Boedker's AHL time was under Edwards' tutelage. Other than that, we haven't seen a lot of forwards to rave about yet. Is that Edwards' fault?
He has 5 forwards that are former 2nd round picks, if you include Werek. We haven't had a lot of luck with our draft picks from #25-60 working out real well. As an organization, we've committed to drafting and developing better. Is Edwards playing his part?
If you think playing in lew is not hurting the players greatly, your crazy.
whose management is that, Swat, GMDM, if that's poor management, then why weren't the Coyotes relocated the last 4 years and what has any of that have to do with the affiliate? NOTHING, never has and never did, no matter whom the affiliate has been
So they're going to actually play in Portland again? Should be good for the fans. Also, as I understand the current arena in Lewiston has crappy facilities as well.
nope, not exactly, CC, The Elite League Junior Pirates, of which Cain and his management company/family control as they do the training facility (MHG Ice) in Saco, are coming, it just happened just as the Federal League did last year, timing was right to bring the Pirates to the Colisee, this lease dispute didn't go as long as the Coyotes trilogy did, although at times it felt like it.
I'll let wildcat fill in more, and it's possible this could be longer than 2018-19.
Lease dispute ends as Pirates/CCCC renew agreement beginning in 2014 to 2019.
Team is already on the road to Binghamton ahead of weather.
Happy you wrote this. I was reading about the attendance and saying in my head wait a minute they are playing in a small crappy arena. Like how Winnipeg has low attendance but are probably over 90% full for their games.
Excellent rebound from 6 days ago, when the Pirates were throttled by the Senators, 7-1, in which they extended the team record for PIM/GM, last night in Binghamton, they allowed the 1st G, THEN ran off 5 straight G, 4 on the PP, IN A 5-1 win.
ON TO Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Hershey THIS WKND.
