When you're an analist for the Flyers you can do one of two things when predicting the outcome of their season:
1) insult everyone's intelligence because its obvious that you're being told what to say
2) insult your boss and give people just another reason to beleive they will do absolutely nothing this year, thus decreasing fan support, revenue and ticket sales. If you're Ed Snider it would be uncool for someone you hired top be an analyzt for your team and have them say they're not going to do what you're failing to make other people beleive.
I have been listening to the Morning Guys when Howerd Stern goes on breaks and when people call him up and ask how the team will be this year, I've heard him say that they will be one of the top groups of teams to compete for the Cup but I never heard him say that they are a lock to win it. I would think that it was a little tounge and cheek maybe, I consider him to be the only credible person related to the Flyers.
What FlyerGuy69 is saying sounds a bit more reasonable then Jones saying the Flyers are a lock to win the Stanley Cup. I enjoy watching Jones and hearing his insight and I think he is one of the better Flyers analysts and even if he did say it what GKJ said makes sense also. Snider or someone else high up told him too.
you guys still get him on the radio in the USA, used to get him on the tube, thats one show i miss. Long live Hank The Angry Drunken Dwarf.
oh yeah, he's the #1 rated morning show in the US and he's in any major market. Hank was my favorite too, to bad he died. I was also a big fan of Crackhead Bob, he doesn't like to do the show anymore but he was great.
