Delvecchio, never played for another team life long wing with the same PPG as Lindsay, actually fractionally higher although most of that has to do with how Lindsay's career ended. Before it gets pointed out again, yes I know Lindsay was traded for starting the NHLPA. I just think of Delvecchio first realize I will probably be voting for him for a couple rounds and I am okay with that.
Kris Draper, Tomas Holmstrom or Mickey Redmond. One of those guys, I would go Draper, but Redmond had more talent. He also factors into the Red Wing family for all the years afterwards in the booth. I know that is a slippery slope but he belongs in at some point guy put up two 50 goal seasons and was productive before injuries cut short his career at the end of his part of 6 seasons run here.
Add Kris Draper. 1000+ games as a Red Wing, one Selke and four cups. A great leader with a big heart for the club. Crucial part of the 95-09 era who choose to retire rather than playing somewhere else. That's big.
Yea, he wasnt a flashy guy but his grinding work helped us win cups. You cant deny that.
I picked Delvecchio..
By the way, we all need to remember how great Ozzie was for us in the big picture. He worked his ass off, changed his style and won a cup at what was essentially his "twilight" and almost won two. I love hank but Ozzie was the reason we won the 08 cup and would have been the reason we won the 09 cup. My .02 cents.
