Redden is next. Then Hossa, Heatley, and Phillips.

I really wanted to pick Redden...Really as good as Redden was back in the day - how can you not choose Karlsson.

He's a Norris winner, his impact on the powerplay and our transition game is unprecedented.

Redden because he was very good for a while for us. Can't say the same about Karlsson, but he should be on this list somewhere not far below Hossa/Heatley.

Has to do with # of seasons played.

I don't believe this poll is "Vote for the best individual player season in Sens history", in which case Karlsson could arguably be #1. That single season certainly doesn't put him ahead of the likes of Yashin, Alfredsson, Spezza, Redden, Hossa, Heatley, Phillips, etc.

I think "impact" is a subjective opinion and therefore Karlsson could very well be included.

I think the OP would have been more precise if he meant "best single season ever". Who knows though. Is Hasek on the list? How about Duchesne? To me that says the OP was talking all-time, not just single-season.

Maybe he can chime in, otherwise these polls don't indicate very much if we are interpreting the term "impact" with so much variation.

It is up to the voter's interpretation

Then I vote Wikstrand.

Guy has more goals than any other Senator playing pro hockey right now.

Again, this is the exact same thing as the prospect polls on the boards. Everything is up to each person's interpretation of things. In this case, I understand why people are going with guys like Redden/Hossa but I'm going with EK for the sole reason that he's an established Norris winner already with the Senators and I feel that's the strongest individual impact from any remaining players.

People are going to vote based on THEIR interpretations. This is far from a legitimate poll rather than to gauge the opinions of the board as a whole.

Lol, people seem to be forgetting that for a couple years before Karlsson we brought in the likes of CAMPOLI, BRENDAN ****ING BELL and gave them top minutes to be that offensive weapon. We were a wreck and our offense suffered. Karlsson changed all of that and not just his impact last year. Karlsson also went from being help from the back to BEING THE OFFENSE.

Karlsson's personal accomplishments last year overshadow his accomplishments with the Sens. We became lethal cause of him. He was on the ice for most goals scored by ANY PLAYER in the league. And youngest to be top defense man since ORR.

It's Karlsson, it's not close.

I personally hate Heatley, but he did score 50 goals and led the team in points twice.. He holds the record for most points by a Senator in a single season. He has to be number 4.

Or, you know, some people remember how we used to have a contending roster and some very valuable pieces...

Karlsson very well should become one of the most impactful players for our organization. However, we can't judge him based on the future and one dominant season is simply too small a sample size to negate the impact of other star players playing a decade of hockey here.

Redden
Phillips
Hossa
Healtey
Karlsson

Three-five years from now, I expect EK to be at least 3rd overall.
