Age and Player or Owner Support

Just wondering what the average age of the "fan" who supports the Players is and the age of that "fan" who supports the owners.

I ask because during the last lockout in 2004 I was highly in favor of the players. I was only 19 and naive in general to the business world and the actually economics at hand. I just wanted my favorite players to be actually playing.

Now as I have grown older, 27, I have grown weary of the players' greediness and fully side with the owners.

Any others?

28 support the owners. Life after college opens your eyes to how it really works.

43 and a realist. Don't have any particular fondness for the owners (save one), but really cannot understand the players approach

22 - Fans. Owners should have to pay contracts they allowed their GMs to write up, players should not be so damn greedy.

39 - I don't "support" the owners, but I don't understand the NHLPA at all. If I was an NHL player, I would have negotiated with the NHL's offer from Tuesday to get back as much of the contract concessions as possible. 50/50 is going to happen and I wouldn't want to lose a paycheck for a percentage.

33 and I think the owners are playing a harder brand of ball than I'd like, but that the players are running around like chickens with their heads cut off and proving that they have no real plan, so reluctantly, gun to my head give me only those two options, it's the owners.

26 - I don't 'support' either. I argue for or against the cause or actions of either side as I see it but I'm not rooting for a side because I think both sides have blame here.

32 and support what I feel would benefit me as a fan and the health of the league in all. Currently imo that's the owners proposal and feel the NHLPA haven't negotiated in good faith from the get go.

Last lockout I also supported the owners, also from a completely selfish perspecitve in that cost certainty would incerase the chances of Winnipeg getting a team again.

Older than the rest of you. PA, given what's been proposed thus far.

Currently support the owners because the players are acting like spoiled children.

Last lockout I really supported the cap.

29 - Not really happy with either side, but agree more with the Owners right now.

29 and this. Whatever the PA hopes to gain, money-wise, by not signing Bettman's deal, for most of them, will be lost in about 15 canceled games between then and now. And in all likelihood the eventual settlement will be much worse than this offer. So, rather than sign something they don't like, they're going to forego x weeks salary and sign something worse later. This makes no sense at all.

Falling on the sword of your own idealism doesn't help you and won't impress anyone.
