Wish I could go to the parade today. I went 2010. It was one of the most spectacular things I have ever seen. I'll never forget it. If you have the opportunity to go, GO.
I was just about halfway out the door when I got a call to come into work today. I ended up going to work and think it might have been for the best. I was pretty much going by myself but just the logistics of going early, where to be, the lack of productivity makes me think I made the right choice. Hope everyone who went had a fun time and stayed safe.
I hope to go to one of these in the East Bay one day...
Just like the Giants parade in 2010, an A's championship parade in Oakland would be ridiculous, simply because of the lows that the team has reached and then (obviously if they won they would have) overcome.
Also got me thinking about a Sharks parade, living downtown, I couldn't begin to figure out where the hell they would even put a parade since downtown is so small.
It'll be interesting to see what the Giants look like next season. Rowand is off the books. Cabrera, Huff, and Sanchez are probably gone. That frees up about 34 million dollars. Posey will eat up about a third of that but most of the other free agents won't be ridiculous raises. Obviously Romo is an exception here but they should have money to burn this year.
Sacramento hung in tough against the Bulls tonight. Much better than I expected. Tyreke looked great on both ends.
That bad stretch in the 3rd did them in. Once they got down by 14, it was too much to overcome. They made it close, but they can't afford those bad stretches against any team, especially against a good defensive team like Chicago.
Watched the Parade last night and it looked like a good time was had by all. Really proud of this team and the achievements they had this season. I thought the highlight was the Brian Sabean/Bruce Bochey moments. That's one of the very few times I've seen Sabean emotional and Bochey's speech was great.
Kind of glad the season is over though. Now we can focus on the offseason and what the Giants do with people like Pagan and Scutero.
Also watched some of the Warrior game last night and while it was a good game, I still see the Warriors have the same tendency to not finish strong and allow teams to come back in the second half. I would like to believe this team is better than the last few years and yes it was only one game, but if they get that whole weakness thing rectified, than that would be great.

They lost lead because they pretty much got nothing out of Lee and Curry last night and Jackson just let them keep chucking. They had a combined 11 points and 4 for 30 shooting, those usually doesnt happen on a nightly basis. If both of them did a little better, it would have easily been a blow out.

That is true, Lee and Curry got off to awful starts. That's not going to happen every game and I expect a bounce back game from them tomorrow night. Still, no matter who is on the floor, the losing the lead and to make too close is something I see over and over and it happened again last night. Not going to put all the blame on Lee and Curry when it's a trend for the whole time the last few years.
