The team looked great. I love the fact that Roman and Harbaugh took opened up the stables and let the horses run wild. That is the type of performance you wish could be copy/pasted into next weeks game.

They won't run the ball over Seattle like that, but they'd be at home. They can run the ball on ATL, but it's a long flight in a tough building. I'm conflicted.

I'm just glad they don't have to face the Giants and their playoff voodoo magic.

Kyle Williams picked the wrong year to go on the IR (Not wishing injury on him).

I think that loss had more to do with conservative playcalling than anything. You continue the game long enough, you will make mistakes. This game, the team went for the TD on every drive and it paid off. Last year and in previous games, they would get way too conservative trying not to lose instead of playing to win.

I had the same discussion with my brothers after this game. I think we decided we like our chances best against not Seattle's defense, even if it is in a scary dome.

Also, why the hell did they have guys like J. Smith and Staley still in there at the end of the game. Let our most valuable players, who happen to be nursing injuries, take a break when you're up 21 with 3 minutes left.

Did Kaep shut up the doubters in the Smith/Kaep debate tonight? He sure proved Harbaugh smart for that decision. What an awesome game from him, but the Offensive Line was awesome tonight. That drive in the 4th quarter (8 minutes I believe) might have been as close to a perfect drive you can get in that situation. That entire team really did play inspired football.

Still thinking about that Ravens/Broncos game too. Man that entire game put the entire wildcard weekend to shame. That might be the best game in the playoffs when all is said and done. Awesome performance for Baltimore to pull that one out.

Congrats fellow Niner fans. At the beginning I was really shaking my head and wondering about Smith, but Kaep had an amazing debut.

If the Niners end up playing the Hawks I may just end up coming down from Vancouver with a bunch of Seahawk fans.

Agreed. I'd rather SF go up against Matty Ice and Co instead of trying to deal with Seattle's D.

I want a home game. Seattle is being overrated. Niners will beat them at home.

RT @RoobCSN: After just one playoff game, Colin Kaepernick ranks 12th in NFL history in CAREER postseason rushing yards by a quarterback.

I'm not into the whole rooting for an opponent you want. Let's just see what happens. I trust the coaching staff to game plan properly, and offensively, now with Kaep they gameplan to win instead of "not to lose."

So whoever they play, CK7 may throw another pick 6...and then follow it up with one of the greatest performances by a QB in the history of the NFL.

P.S. I will say this though, I'll be rooting for the Ravens to lose if the Niners win. Don't want 2 weeks of Harbowl hype and Ray Lewis this and Ray Lewis that (which is all you'd hear about in the actual game if that happens, even if the Niners could somehow win their 6th SB, it would still be all about Ray Lewis).

Atlanta doesn't scare me. They're a mentally fragile team who blew a game they should have won by 3 tds and made it a lot more emotionally draining. Their defense has no playmakers and their QB is slow and is stoppable if you pressure him.

I expect SF to go balls to the wall again next week.

Once Seattle started playing physical football Atlanta crumbled and should have lost that game. Just be physical like Seattle was in the second half and we should do alright.

YeAhhhhh. Love the Niners in this matchup. I think they dominate. The physicality overtakes their finess.

Zach Miller went for 8 and 146 1td. If they can't cover a guy who hasn't done anything since his Oakland days, how are they going to cover Davis and Walker?

They pass rush couldn't get anywhere near Wilson today. Kaepernick is just as fast and gets a lot more feet out of each step than does Wilson. I expect Kap to run the ball all over the Falcons just like he did yesterday.
