Yeah. This could actually make for a nice Bay Area double header, even though like I said on Sunday, the remote will get a good amount of work in because we also have the AFC Championship game.

The Niners are only getting 2-1 in the Superbowl, though.

The NE defense is not good enough to stop the 49ers offense consistently, and the 49ers defense has the potential to make some big plays against the NE offense even if they give up some points.

It would be a great game.
While I agree about how anything could happen, he's been snubbed twice in his quest to be the greatest QB ever and on top of that he'd have a chance to tie his idol Joe Montana in rings against his childhood team. With all of that driving mr. grumpled there's no way I'd bet against Brady. That or maybe rooting for the Bills has caused me to go insane.

Rooting for the bills would make anyone go insane.

Are you saying that if there wasn't a lock-out, you'd miss the end of the NFC Championship game for Game #40something in the Sharks schedule?

I guess I am. It's not a matter of missing the game, per say, it's a matter of yeah it's opening night but I don't care. Actually, taking out the whole lockout thing, how I feel about the Sharks right now is the same as how I felt when the Giants were making their 2010 world series run. This year, 49ers are top priority, even though I will watch some of the Sharks game. It's not as meaningful as the two football games on that day.

Yeah, that's how I saw it as and I don't blame you. It just seemed like you were scapegoating the lock-out. In reality, it's just that one game is win or go home, and the other is 1 out of 48 games.
Not that this has anything to do with me though. I'll DVR/DoublePlay the games.

How did Goldson make first team over Bryd? That's ridiculous.

Goldson plays on a winning team. Not that that's fair, just the way it is.

Also, Okung deserves Staley's spot.

I like Staley, but he did not have a pro bowl/all-pro year.

Makes sense. Either way at least Bryd is getting some recognition.

Goldson's played on a team that didn't give up 435 points.

Rooting with everything for the 49ers on Sunday.

As former NFC West rivals, we've had enough of the stupid little birdies.

I guess they're confident in Akers.

The #49ers have waived kicker Billy Cundiff.

If Akers becomes the Kyle Williams of 2013 in the NFC Championship... come on 49ers build a big lead so it doesn't come down to Akers.

From Rotoworld:

Quote:
Police are investigating Michael Crabtree for an alleged sexual assault that reportedly occurred hours after last week's victory over the Packers.

The San Francisco Chronicle and KTVU-TV in Oakland got the info from San Francisco P.D., so it's reliably sourced. The allegation couldn't come at a worse time for the 49ers, set to travel to Atlanta for Sunday's NFC Championship game. Crabtree has been the hottest receiver in the NFL, averaging a 7.3/109.5/1 stat line over the past six games. The investigation is not expected keep Crabtree out of the lineup for Sunday's game.

It's pretty hard for a kicker to directly lead to TDs for the other team.
