All depends on what Jamison has up his sleeves. Put up or shut up time for him is obviously coming rapidly with puck drop relatively around the corner.

Here you have it: http://www.nordiquesnation.com/

Does the new generic look mean anything? Remember the previous one used the official Nordiques logo...

Those seeing an elephant in the Nordiques logo always make me laugh (and a bit scared!)...

I think that they had to change it for copyright reason, what a found strange, is that they dont say why they changed it.

The nordiques logo represent an Igloo shaped as an N. It also look a bit like the fortified door that we have here (google "porte St-Jean or St-Louis)

Two weeks only applies for the Coyotes situation.

I was actually refering to Jamison's deadline here. Although I miscalculated my thing it seems, since the deadline is actually in 2.5 weeks. :-P (I bet we will be hearing some stuff the days before, though)

For the fun of the convo , let say that everything goes wrong for Jamison and the City Council vote against him , the Yotes will still play in Phx for 2013 ( at least til the start of the 13-14 season ). IF the NHL decide to do something, they will wait for this summer to make an announcement. That's why i dont expect any news ( if there are any ) until this summer .

Yes but if the AMF is killed, then the Coyotes are dead. So its practicly sure they will move this summer, which makes us the odds on favorites since no other City has an NHL ready arena right now and we have the Colisée.

Pretty sure they said they can use the old Seattle arena as a temporary one until the new one can be finished too, but until the NBA confirms the sale of the Kings, Seattle won't even start construction. However, I have a feeling the deal is already done and they are just waiting for the end of the season to announce it so as to milk as much money from Kings fans as they can.

That being said, I'd still say Quebec is the favorite.

A source familiar with the matter confirmed to me that the issue of Seattle is more complex because it asks [where] the team could play. The Key Arena was not good enough for junior hockey league and although studied the possibility to play a few seasons, it seems that it is unthinkable. Unless of doing major renovations.

IIRC, Hansen's MOU with Seattle requires that any team use the City owned Key Arena as their interim venue until the new arena is ready.

Regarding the Coyotes, there is the possibility that a team move is announced months before the season finishes, because this is what happened with the Jets v1.0. By August 1995, fans knew the Jets were toast and put for sale to be moved, and around October 1995 I think they were sold and the Coyotes name was announced in January or March 1996.

However, the NHL might want to avoid doing such thing, because you all saw what happened to Jets 1.0 attendance after the Spirit of Manitoba group deal fell apart in August 1995. (Btw... isn't it ironic that any group with the word "Spirit" in their name seems to fail hard? First, the Manitoba group, then next the Atlanta Spirit Group. I would kinda be scared if a Quebec Spirit Group came up and moved a team to Quebec now. )

While that is true we gotta consider this. Key Arena is a basketball model one. I think the best configuration for hockey allws just over 10k seats...not quite the best for NHL standards.
