The union doesnt "win" as long as the share goes to 50:50. Players with contracts may "win" and get all they signed for but that wouldnt be much of a victory.

So do many of the fans, but they are also mistaken.

Get Fehr out of there. But it's the players fault for bringing in a known entity in Fehr.

XHL > NHL

I'd rather watch that. Vince McMahon as commissioner is 500x better than Gary Bettman

They brought in the guy who they thought would be a bulldog in negotiations. And they did get just that. The trouble is, Fehr clearly doesn't care about hockey beyond what they pay him to care about, so if the season is lost he doesn't give a ****. So that makes the rest of us suffer when he takes the hard line.

According to Jeff Klien of the New York Times the only major stumbling block left is contractual rights. HRR/Make whole and Revenue sharing is a "spitting distance" away from being done.

"We're basically there"- PA union delegate.

I'm starting to side with the owners more with each passing day. I don't even understand the point of this lockout anymore. Players on low salaries are killing themselves because they're not making any money. Players on higher salaries are arguing over wanting even more money.

This is really hurting the low (relative) income players, is semi hurting the higher income players and owners.

As long as Opie & Anthony come back for it, I'm down.

I think at this stage of the game, we are all just tired of the whole charade by both sides. I don't know if the true story is even out for public consumption, since the books aren't public. All I know is that I'm tired of it, and if I have to pack my toys and take them home, I won't bring them back. I just hope if it comes to a long term shutdown, that they get slammed by every fan in the league hard enough for it to matter.

Bet you the lockout ends one day later than the deadline for cancelling the season....then everyone will be like "Awww...that's too bad."

LOL Luongo is hilarious on twitter...also love how he made his avatar a parody of ******* insiderrr

Strombone ‏@strombone1
Had the privilege 2 play with Pavel Bure. Typical night would consist of: - 1 backcheck - 4 strides all game - 4 packs of gum - 2 to 3 goals

If there was a Stanley Cup for twitter-comedy, he'd be a Hall Of Famer by now after winning it 50 times.

I do too. Speaking of internet news ''sources'' Dano told Eklund he loved how he was the only positive news source in this lockout!

@KenDaneykoMSG League and players are being selfish, people lost homes this month and they argue over money. No perspective on real world.
