Huge D-bag. I'm sure he isn't the only employer to do it though.

Are you guys really making Dolan out to be a bad guy here? That's ridiculous. If employees can't make it to work they should use sick days and/or vacation days if they still want to get paid. That's the rule for hundreds of thousands of union employees whose contract requires them to be paid for the first missed day caused by a natural disaster. Many of these employees have quite a few sick days so using 1 or 2 is hardly the end of the world.

Simply put, there is NO strong-arming going on here. You want to get paid, you come to work. You can't come to work you can choose to use your sick/personal/vacations days. Nobody is making them do so. That article is a joke.

Yeah, seems like a lot over nothing.

This is unprecedented my friend. Would you say the same for the person who works at MSG whos house completely burned to the ground?

Transportation has been a nightmare for the past few days.

MSG as a company has enough money to let employee's deal with a few days of getting their lives back to normal.

Insensitive you are.

All I know is if I have to use days, I'm gonna go to the owners house and perform an upper decker.

It stinks but many companies (including my own) have that policy. Per NY State Law there is nothing we can do.

It's also an employer's economy so if you decide to resign/walk out 300+ people are waiting and salivating for your job.

If we could somehow keep this non-political (I doubt it) it would still be the kind of thing to use our OT thread for.
