Quick McFarlane Figure

McFarlane is finally giving some love to a LA player.

Jonathan Quick Figure comes out in December.

GAH! WTF mask is THAT? Finally get a Kings McFarlane figure and he screws up the mask. I hope that's not the final product.

Guessing they have no license for Quick's mask, but at least make it somewhat close to what it resembles with the right color scheme (which is what EA does at the very least).

This is exactly what McFarlane usually does... Not sure why this one is so completely far off from what his actual mask looks like...

Yeah, the mask art is property of the artist. Unless they actually work out a deal with, and get permission from the individual who made Quick's mask, then they can't mass reproduce replicas of it for sale. No matter how small.

I know I should be happy with a Quick figure but it's just a repaint of the old Turco figure.

McFarlane Toys tends to do that from time to time. I believe they pulled the same thing with the Robitaille figure, it was just a swap of the old Kariya figure. The problem I have is if it was going to be a swap just use the Brodeur/Fleury sculpt. At least then he's holding the cup. Oh well..

Nice find. Looks like they just swap out the head, add in a Cup, great for business, keeps costs down. I'll still buy it, I love playing with dolls.

They actually made a Turco Hawks figure? Some odd choices from McFarlane. Kopitar is long overdue for a zombie figure.

True, then the mask issue wouldn't be a big deal.
