I'm a showerbag

Just bumped into my neighbor at the dep. She was in line behind me while I was paying for my beer. I tell her I hope she's not here for cigs. At the same time she pulls out her lottery tickets, and I tell her yeah that's better, at least it's not harmful to the health. Then she says she smokes too and that something gonna kill all of us one day, to which I reply I rather prolong my life. Oh the askward moment when I realize I'm buying beer to get hammered whilst lecturing a woman about health.

I wanted to say that maybe she didn't link the fact you were buying beer to get hammered and the fact you were lecturing about health.

Prolong your life and get dementia and spend the last few years of your life in a dirty adult diaper. Nice.

You can drink beer in moderation and not harm your health at all. In moderation, of course, probably means no more than a couple a day, if that.

However, even a few cigarettes a week can have serious consequences down the road. heck, I'm wondering how much third hand smoke is doing to me(I work 2-4 hours a week with a lady who smokes a dozen a day,but not when I'm there and I don't notice it as much now when I'm in her house. I used to be able to smell it on my vest afterwards. And don't tell me it's nothing. I find yellow patches on the walls I wipe off)

I think I read somewhere that having a beer could have the same beneficial effect as a glass of wine.

I had 10 last night. Now I ain't no health guru but I don't think it was healthy. Healthiest thing I did last night was puking all that beer out.

Probably the best story I've ever read. I read it five times because it was so interesting.

Is it bad that I've never heard someone use the phrase "showerbag" before? or is that a Canadian thing?
