NEW JERSEY DEVILS WELCOME MICHAL NEUVIRTH

The Devils today, announced they will no longer play with an empty net and have acquired a goalie who may be able to stop weak shots from the wing. "This is obviously big news for us", said Devils GM chessarmy, who was very excited about the move, "we're sure Neuvy will do fine here, I mean...Jonas Enroth and ol' Marty didn't exactly set the bar high for the kid."

The players were happy about the acquisition as well, "we like to have goalie to stop puck and not always let goal in" said LW Alex Frolov. Patrick Marleau was pleased with the trade as well, "maybe we'll win hockey games now", the talented winger said.

Full deal -

Schultz (83), Perrault (81), Neuvirth (83), 2nd rounder for Adam Larsson.

Devils GM was sad to see Larsson go, "it'll probably bite us in the ass that we traded him, but we needed a goalie like a pedophile needs castration."

Neuvirth will likely progress to 85 or beyond, he's already 4 stars.
Schultz is an 83, big shutdown defender with an excellent cap hit, 4 stars.
Perrault at 25 still has progression to go, has close to 90 speed, and 90 in several offensive stats as well as underrated defensive attributes. I've got Kane, Backstrom, Ovechkin, Ribero all with ridiculous speed so he's just redundant to me.

Larsson does progress well, but that's several years away and he's a 4.5 star player.

So two 4 star and a very underrated 3.5 star player and a 2nd rounder for a 4.5 star.

His team is better in the first years of this trade, my team is better several years down the road if we make it there which I really hope we do.

We had that discussion but Orlov is 77 and Schultz is 83 and he wants to win now as do I which is understandable with Marleau, Kovy all in their prime. Btw after the sim I ran Orlov advanced to 78 after next season so not so sure he's such a stud anyways.

Schultz is slow as hell. Perrault has one attribute in the 90's...hand eye. Everything else is in the mid LOW 80's

You're really undervaluing Perrault man, if you saw some of the offers I received for him by himself I think you'd be surprised.

87 Deking
91 hand eye
84 offensive awareness
82 passing
84 puck control
83 slap shot accuracy
88 slap shot power
86 writer accuracy
81 wrist shot power

87 defensive awareness
85 stick check
89 accel
87 agility
87 speed.

And he's still going to get better.

My sources have told me that the trade between the Blues and Panthers include many young players. Hearing a future superstar could be involved in this deal!

E5, TRADE WILL BE DONE BEFORE NEXT SIM PERIOD

looking to add an upgrade at either wing or forward. I'm open to moving players like David Desharnais, Brett Connolly, Brian Lee, Sami Salo, or Riku Helenius (80 rated goalie with upside), as well as draft picks in order to get such an upgrade.
