Absolutely not. Just an inside joke with me and Fuss. We were trying to work out a deal that included a similar package of players.

Nah I offered that similar package for Hossa. Harold liked it at first, then changed his mind because he is a heartless *******

ha it's kinda funny how you were inquiring about getting back wingers you've traded away. Not that it's a bad thing it's just funny and kinda ironic.

Inquired about Benn and Hossa..
Which is even more ironic because i think you traded Hossa to get Benn originally.

It was a mistake trading Hossa. I didn't know how goaltending worked at the time. Definitely something I regret, if only for Nostalgia

Great package of players... I just really love Hossa. You can have Crawford back if you want... he's just chillin on my bench.

Haha i must've sent that package around to half the league (secretly). LOTS of teams were interested in it though.

I am an Oilers homer, but that does seem like an underpayment and IMO should be on the Franchise players list Fuss made.

lol, I was being sarcastic. RNH is pretty good, I wouldn't stick him on the franchise players list, I probably could have got more for him if salaries weren't an issue. I was willing to move him so I don't have to deal with the headache of the raises both he and Giroux will be in for, Chicago just happened to have the perfect balance of good, reasonably priced talent to get a deal done.

Ontop of that, I still get a very good C back in Anisimov. Fact is, I still have Schenn and Marchand I can slot into the C spot, I've actually liked using Schenn alot more than I have RNH.

RNH becomes a top 5 forward in the game in 2-3 seasons.

But in Fuss' defense, RNH doesn't belong in the franchise player list only because he's already been traded away from Edmonton. He's a franchise player no doubt, but he's no longer recognizable as the face of the Oilers so that's prob why he's not on the list.

I've played multiple seasons and I've seen him float around the 85 overall mark more often then he has around 90. Which is where he'd need to be for top 5.

Looking for a FWD or D who is 84 overall or over
-Nashville

All 1st round picks, young PWF Colin Wilson and high potential D Roman Josi on the block.

Top prospects Granlund, Rielly or Etem could be in play - return has to be big and up front.

It's not so much his overall rating that makes him so good. He's 20, 81 OVR, and already has close to 90 speed and high 80s in all offensive stats. But you received good value back too, some nice speed and size, and this trade likely makes you better for the next 2 years at least.
