Yeah I'm hardly a fan of DD, whether in real life or in game. In this league he currently has 14 pts for TB while Purcell (who I traded him for) has 24 points and is not 5'7....

hedman loves being an Av and paired with Johnson though

That has to have been the worst trade so far in this league. I wanted a team in this league since this seemed to be one of the only active leagues, but I was pissed at the mess Tampa was left with.

I suppose, you may not have made that trade, but there were a number of GMs that were interested in Stas being their top 2 c, I almost even got Bogosian or some other Dmen like Alzner/Carlson for them. In this game since ur top 2 lines pretty much can be played the entire game the Tampa GM felt Stas was better than Lecav, and could probably flip Lecav for Dmen to balance out the loss of Hedman. Not saying this trade couldnt be considered bad, but it all depends on who uses these players.

I am really hoping Tinordi turns into a beast quickly (he's already at 71, but I want him up around 75 before I play him in the NHL) because I still lack a true stay at home DMan to injure opposing players (during double sims or otherwise )

with one trade left, would be willing to include my 4.5 star goalie prospect in the right deal, also have a few prospects like Cousins, Laughton, Gernat (4 star ofd) that I could consider expendable.

Upgraded my D by replacing Komisarek with Regehr. I love it. Hoping Gardiner (4 and half stars) and Ellis (4 stars) will get a nice boost of ratings before the next season.

Brown
Heatley
2014 DET 3rd round pick

Byfuglien
Wheeler
2014 1st round pick

In a blockbuster deal with the Winnipeg Jets the Pittsburgh Penguins have shipped out Star wingers Dany Heatley and Dustin Brown. The team was able to bring back a huge hulking defenceman in Dustin Byfuglien, a Powerforward with skill in Blake Wheeler as well as a 1st round pick. "It is an exciting day in Pittsburgh. We have added a key piece to our D-core and a reliable partner to play with Letang which is something we have been looking for, for awhile. He adds size, is a great hitter, and has a bomb of a shot. Wheeler is a guy who can hit, go into the corners, but he has skill which makes him one of the better all round players in the league. The 1st round pick really helps us in our short rebuild, and will be something we use to add to our sound prospect pool." The departures of Dany Heatley comes less than a year after he was traded to Pittsburgh in a last ditch effort to make the playoffs which worked, but he has been sub par this season and change was needed. Dustin Brown was traded after just 8 months in town, he surpassed his point totals from the previous season but was not living up to expectations. The trade was that much easier to make with Young wingers Tyler Toffoli, and Tomas Tatar ready for top 6 and top 3 minutes. The only question mark is where Simon Despres fits into the lineup. The young defenceman currently plays with Kris Letang on the top pairing, but with the arrival of Byfuglien it looks like he may be pushed off the top pairing when Letang returns from injury. Despres won't likely push Orpik or Niskanen off the 2nd pairing either as the two have been solid together.

As General Manager of the Winnipeg Jets, I would first like to thank Blake Wheeler and Dustin Byfuglien for their contributions to this organization. We get what I like to call a "prototypical Jets hockey player" in Dustin Brown. He knows what it takes to win a cup, and he plays on the edge. Dany Heatley is a guy I feel can come up with some big goals at important times. He has a great shot, and he's a veteran presence in the room. All in all, I feel we took a step in the right direction today, and I look forward to another long run in the spring.

Shopping
RW: Frolik 85 OVR / Age:25 / 3.5y Potential
LW: Penner 80 OVR / Age:31 / 3.5w Potential

both would make great playoff run additions.

Looking for in return: Young NHL ready Defensemen with good potential

Have a few very good offers for Frolik (LW/85ovr/25yo/3.5y pot)
Will be moved soon or at the draft.
He will be a RFA at the end of this season.

Looking for young NHL ready defensemen (no less than 75ovr) with good potential (no less than 3.5y)

aha worth a shot, he gets to an 84 in a GM Mode I've played though. playing top four minutes for me this season with already 80's offensive stats. Hoping for big things for him.

After thinking this over Matt Niskanen is on the block. I have an injury trade left with Sid out, so any potential offer must have a C included. Niskanen is an 83 with 3.5 star yellow potential.
