Considering making a new rule that players cannot be flipped anymore. Something like 2 full seasons until you can trade a player you've recently acquired.

Like the general idea, but I wonder if there should be an exception for pending UFAs?
In other words, say you acquire a guy on year with 2 years left on his contract, play a season and a half, and find yourself out of the playoff hunt at the trade deadline in the second season. Shouldn't you be able to deal the guy at that point to a contender?

No one deals their stars becoming UFA's at deadline really I believe
