The Staal bro's reach is so long, impossible to get it out when you have it down low.

Yeah

But on your 2nd goal when Ward failed to cover the puck sitting right in front of him like 3 times, all I could do was

How have I been somewhat MIA? Ive been here everyday, and I turned off my CPU thing because I didn't trust the PHI GM at the end of last season. I'll be on at 230 pm EST if you want to play our game then, or ill play your CPU or we can just let it get simmed.

Roberto Luongo Making A difference in Washington

Luongo in Washington three hours before game 1 of the 2013/14 regular season

The acquisition of Washington Capitals goaltender Roberto Luongo is paying dividends already. Thanks to excellent net minding by Roberto, the Capitals were able to rally back and steal a point from the Jets at home, and come back from 2 down against Jersey and take the game in the shootout. With the Capitals goaltending woes solved early in the season this year, this will be a different team to play against.

"This guy is beast, he's just beast man", Ovi stated when asked about Luongo. "He just keeps you in game, gives you chances to win every night."

Eller is significantly better, going to make it easy to drop Plekanec this year/offseason (Gionta comes off the books too!)

Excited to see how much better Subban and White will be (both jumped 3)

You guys ever lose a game where you really don't know what you did wrong on the goals against? Just happened to me last night.

Game 1 - Pretty defensive battle with CBJ dishing out hits like they were Katy Perry! Just running over the sluggish to start Sharks. This one had a crazy finish. While tied 1-1 with 12 seconds Niemi just robbed Shinkaruk of what should have been his first career NHL goal on a 2 on 1. Then with 6 seconds left Thornton opts to shoot over a sprawled defender on the odd man rush to ice the game.

Game 2 - This game was also close although the sharks seemed to find their legs. Putting up a much more respectable 30 shots en route to a 3-1 win. Niemi again made huge saves as CBJ poured it on a few times.

While Columbus was a 30th place team last season they look to be much improved this year and the Sharks are more than happy walking away 2-0-0 to start the season.
ARRGHH that would have made my day if shinny would have got the GWG in his first NHL game! He definitely is going to need to develop another year though. Niemi made some sick saves. Second game i played terrible and it was a little choppy, but good games!!

I'm hoping players won't randomly disappear during advances this year since waivers are off. Just in case I've called up some total garbage players in case some of them are removed to make way for my long awaited FAs (who I hope accept my offers [offered them all at least what they wanted]).

CHamps did you send offers to your players yet?

Also, i'm having mixed feelings towards how this offseason played out. For the most part it went pretty smoothly but there were some serious bumps in the road too. I hate how Free Agency played out. I dont like how there are essentially ZERO big name Free Agents to sign. Regardless of the Untouchable List, i think Free Agency needs to be able to offer more to other teams. I just dont know how to properly execute it without it being unfair to the original teams these UFA's were playing on.

Any ideas would be great
