Tice has no business being the line coach. Bears need to hire a legit oline coach.

Need to go 3-5 to make the playoffs most likely. I think they go 4-4, end up 11-5

you know the difference?

One is 7-1, the other is 3-4

Nobody will ask about the why. In the end, all that matters is who won the games and who wins when it matters. Nobody will care about a 16-0 season when you lose game 19 of the season

Assuming we don't get Te'o... We need to grab this kid Alec Ogletree from UGA. He is an absolute monster of an ILB.

Does Ogletree fit 4-3 scheme or is he more a 3-4 ILB?

I'd like Eifert in the 1st round. Well, Te'o is my first choice

Eifert in the first is laughable. Terrible reach when the Bears need to plug more important holes.

Anyone hear anything about Melton's injury?

Last I heard his back had tightened up ,, Never saw him in rest of game which I assume was just precautionary as he was not needed

How is that a reach when he's a projected 1st round pick?

It's a reach when TE isn't anywhere near the first hole this squad needs to address. For another team maybe, but not the Bears.

Not to mention the Bears could probably work out a trade and get a decent backup TE buried elsewhere who could start on this team

Or go to Tennesse and talk about Cook after season

Getting zero production out of one of the most increasingly used positions in adequate NFL offenses is a big issue. Having a great tight end WILL keep Cutler off his back a lot more.

You're not going to get an elite olineman late in the first and taking a linebacker in the first that isn't incredibly high quality is laughable.

Taking a TE in 1st round is even worse value then taking a LB

Not anymore. Not since the 2010 drafts when talented, pass catching TE's became the swoon of the NFL.

2012 draft = No TE's selected in 1st round
2011 draft = No TE's selected in 1st round
2010 draft = Jermaine Gresham (21st overall)
2009 draft = Brandon Pettigrew (20th overall)
2008 draft = Dustin Keller (30th overall)
2007 draft = Greg Olsen (31st overall)

There is no reason to spend a 1st round pick on a TE ,, You can find a quality TE in 2nd round or via FA/Trade market

Give me a tackle or ILB in the first round, not some TE.

Not sure what I want more: Dallas to expose Atlanta or Dallas having a meltdown.

Except all the quality TE's will be gone by then and there's not much in the talent pool already.

Like I said, 2010 changed things for dynamic pass catchers at TE. Fleener probably wouldn't have went at 34 if it weren't for that class.

Fleener went 34th because he is Luck's BFF
