I'm sure the Colts picked him there because they wanted to baby Andrew Luck.

He's the #1 overall pick and new franchise face and prized jewel. If he says he wants X player in the second round, I give him that damn player no matter what.

I agree, but I don't think Luck is the kind of guy that would ask or demand a certain player. Management probably thought they needed a tight end, and who other than Fleener in the draft would be more logical when you consider the quarterback?

Management needed a TE and given the connection used it

If they dont draft him there he was slated at draft by most to be a mid or late 2nd rounder

By most? He was going in mocks as a late first/early 2nd.

Only times I recall seeing him was

- Chasing Hassleback who ran for big first down
- Coming off edge after Idonije/Paea already sacked Hassleback

Outide of that nope ,, Didn't notice him at all

Wootten was playing primary opposte DE with Peppers once Idonije got banged up

I had been flipping to RedZone during commercials during the 1st half. During the 2nd half, I said **** it and left RedZone on when the game was already decided

Eli Manning = 12 TD's / 9 INT's with 2,426 yds and 85.5 QB Rtg
Joe Flacco = 10 TD's / 6 INT's with 1,990 yds and a 85 QB Rtg
Matt Stafford = 8 TD's / 7 INT's with 2,393 yds and a 83.2 QB Rtg

Tony Romo = 9 Td's / 13 INT's with 2,073 yds and a 78.8 QB Rtg (Coming into tonight)

Jay Cutler = 12 Td's / 8 INT with 1,774 yds and a 85.3 QB Rtg for comparision

Basically, too many of the big names have been average this year. Cutler is right around average.

I had Cutler on my bench and Flacco starting

Every good game Cutler has had I have had Flacco starting instead ,, It killed my fantasy season

He had the pressure on the Urlacher INT.

Big test next week. Chance to either shut up a lot of critics or make the catcalls even louder.

you want to talk about Fleener? True, the Colts have taken him because of Luck. It's also true that he wouldn't have made it past pick #40. Guy was in the #20-#40 range and the best TE out of his class

This half of the season will be good warmup for the playoffs. I just hope we don't play GB in the playoffs.

Green Bay is starting to get really banged up. Their bye week (and last two easy games) came at a fortunate time for them. But some of their guys will still be out when they come off bye, and I'd love to see them drop a couple to the Giants and the Lions in Detroit.

The bears still have problems with them in all recent history. I'd rather avoid them in the playoffs.
