Clay is fine. It's not as serious as his previous ones. Probably will miss the Detroit game after the bye at most. Jordy is also good to go, and the same goes for Kuhn. The real concerns right now are Perry and Bulaga. Also are waiting for Woodson, Jennings, and Benson to come back. Those are all still probably at least three weeks away.

ESPN on Peanut, he has to be my favorite player on the Bears right now.

Quote:
What more can we say about Charles Tillman's season that we haven't already? He forced another four fumbles Sunday, bringing his season total to seven and allowing him to pass Charles Woodson on the NFL's all-time list for forced fumbles by a defensive back. Tillman has 34 in his career, second only to Brian Dawkins' 36. Keep in mind Dawkins played 16 years and Woodson is in his 15th season. Tillman's patented ability to punch the ball out of an opponent's hands has put him in the record books. We've mentioned him in the MVP discussion already. It's an unlikely scenario given the recent history of the award, but Tillman should be in the realistic conversation for NFL Defensive Player of the Year. The NFL record for most forced fumbles in a season is 10, according to pro-football-reference.com.
If teams keep running with one hand on the ball against the Bears I would be shocked.

Extremely solid chance the Bears win the division if they split the next two games.

Nelson could always be a Nicks situation where he is just a walking corpse because his pride got in the way.

I'm not sold on Houston's secondary, and Forte will be Forte. If Cutler can get good protection, he and the dominant defense should be more than good enough to beat Houston in Chicago.

But that's the big if. Cutler's O-line, that is.

Watt may run wild. Could get ugly... hope they plan something good for him or we'll see Cutler down quite a bit on Sunday.

The game in SF will be incredibly tough... but the Bears' run defense gives me at least a bit of confidence there too. Getting an early lead would be huge. The 49ers are a much different (and much worse) team when behind in a game than when tied or ahead.

if Manning continues to play like he has and the broncos win the division, he's a virtual lock for mvp and cbpoty

the bears are also basically trash when playing from behind. assuming the defense can't make a huge play like vs jacksonville or carolina

"The Bears are trash when playing from behind, except those times when they came back from being down and won."

But I do get what you're saying. Ultimately we can agree it's important to get a lead on San Fran early much more than it is against most other teams, and leave it at that.

If Matt Ryan goes 16-0, the MVP is his.

i wondered how long it would take teams to realize that the easiest way to beat Vick was to pressure him, not suit back and play cautiously. just blitz the **** outta him and force him to read defenses and make good reads and accurate throws

This is an over simplification. The Eagle's offensive line makes the Bears' look terrific.

Vick is not a starting QB, that's a fact, time to learn a new position.

The OL was horrible but Vick didn't read several obvious blitz's off the edge that led to sacks

So game plan defensively next week.... Shut down Arian, and let Schaub/Dre/Daniels try and beat you? Dre while still great, looks like he has lost a step.

The way Foster runs, there should be opportunities to punch the ball out. Let him get 25 carries if that is what the Texans want to do.

It's been a good first part of the NFL season. Bears are 7-1 and both my Fantasy teams are 6-3 so far. Hopefully I can win some money so I won't have completely wasted my time these last few months.

Amen brother, got to get those benjamins. What perfect timing it would be too, right after the holidays.

Not really worried about next weeks game. Would be great if we can win it. In the end, I worry much more about the 9ers game

Only possible saving grace with Watt is he plays tackle. I feel somewhat better about the interior with Garza and the guards than Webb or Carmini.

pretty sure he plays end...and besides the Texans would probably move him around to get matchups anyway
