Watt is definitely a DE, that I know... and I'm almost positive he prefers the left side, AKA Webb's side.

I think why he doesn't look like a typical end, is because instead of trying to beat the corner, he goes through the middle a lot.

JJ Watt is what we hope McClellin will end up as.

3-4 DE is totally different from a 4-3 speed rusher DE...McClellin will never be anything like Watt.

that's not fair. Watt is a co favorite to end up as DPoY. He is basically what 99% of the DEs hope to be

Speaking of, he needs to step it up a bit IMO. Not that he's been bad, but he hasn't been as dominant this season as he has been since he put on a Bears uniform.

I think that without him, we wouldn't be seeing the same results from this defense. Sure, he's not piling up numbers, but it's pressure from him that's helping cause a lot of these INTs.

Oh I agree entirely... that, and he's making the rest of the line look even better be absorbing double teams.

He is playing with injury though and still getting pressure

Also his ability to switch from DE to DT has been big for Bears

Honestly thinking that we're going to lose the next two games, and the number of folks threatening to jump will reach monstrous heights despite the fact that we'll still be 7-3.

No one but Tillman on Bears can cover Andre Johnson

that's why I wrote 99%. A handful of players like Allen, JPP, Tuck and Peppers are great and about the same level. Other than that, most players wish they would be that good

Johnson has been pretty average this year. They better induce that kid on Friday or something.

Say what you will but I find Watt to be a good comparison for McClellin. They may run a 3-4 but he rushes with his hand down more often than not.

Watt is alot bigger (6'6 + 295 Ib) vs McClellin (6'3 + 260 Ib)

McClellin cant physically match what Watt does.. Not at all a good comparable
