Not a terrible idea... my brother did suggest that around 11 when I asked him "when is a good time to crack open the first beer of the day"
Impressive: The street lights are still on!

But... but... I don't want to Its already cold now, so if it goes warm it will get even worse. I think if the power goes out, I should immediately pull it out of the fridge and start drinking. If I wait more than a minute or two to open that fridge, I will probably be ruining everything in there by opening the door later. Maybe this theory doesn't work, but if it makes me happy, and gets me my beer, I'll accept it.
Grab your 5 day Cooler toss the beer in with lots of ice. keep away from heat sources. Have you people never been camping?
Hopefully it doesn't get to look like that over in my area. Long Island Sound is surprisingly calm right now, but the streets closest were evacuated.
Farther down the shore they're going nuts. Bridgeport and Stamford have evacuated all their coastal neighbourhoods, and the storm surge is expected to be devastating. When they start talking about "record floods" I get nervous.

We should ask Byfuglien to be sure, he's the expert on these things.

My Alma Mater (Fairfield) has today, tomorrow, and Wednesday off. They evac'd everyone. And the beach as well obviously. I imagine it's a river over there by now.

Nope. But the main issue is the largest cooler I have just isn't that big. With ice, I would probably be lucky to get 8ish beers in one. And that's a stretch. Best bet is grabbing a random bucket in the house and layering it with beers and ice. Awesome for max beer storage, but not for insulation. It's tough trying to survive.
I've seen plenty online and on TV of what the weather is like in Southern NJ, or at any coastal areas. Anyone more inland have anything to report of yet? North, South, or anywhere in between. Still nothing here. Really not even any rain or wind of note. Still the kind of stuff we could see on any average day. I'm not complaining anything, but I'm curious if there's something that should be hitting me soon, or if this isn't doing as was anticipated.
I waited for less than five minutes before they connected me to a representative, I showered her with compliments on how good their service was, she got giggly and sounded kind of hot. Felt like asking for her number
