Taylor Hall Medically Cleared, Will Play Friday Nov. 2nd on RNH & Eberle line

When is he going to start seeing some AHL games? He is practicing full contact now is he not? Any one got and "inside" info on when he is projected to play?

P.S. sorry if this scares anyone, from the title it kind of implies that he re hurt his shoulder...

SOLI EDIT: Hall has been medically cleared and reporting to OKC.

@AHLBarons
Per Todd Nelson, Taylor Hall has been cleared medically and will be playing on Friday night. #OKCBarons #Oilers
"For the first month, we won't be playing him in back-to-back games, so he'll play Friday and Sunday this weekend." -Todd Nelson #OKCBarons
Hall will start out with Eberle and Nugent-Hopkins, and will possibly integrate into a different line as time goes on. #OKCBarons #Oilers

Via Gregor's latest blog, although I thought he was going down on his ELC under special circumstances?

Taylor Hall will be back in Edmonton this week to get his shoulder looked at again. He spent the last two weeks practicing and if he gets clearance he could suit up for the Barons this week. He will need to sign an AHL contract before he plays. Because he won't be on an NHL two-way deal, he'll need to cover his hefty insurance costs, and that's why his agent will likely be looking for a six-figure AHL deal.

Perhaps "Rehab Report" would be less troubling.

I believe he flew back into Edmonton today. Getting checked out by doctors and hoping to be cleared to play his first AHL game Friday Nov. 2nd in Houston.

And changed the title to not be so scurry.

wow, hall eberle and nuge. that should be a very good line in the NHL. really, they should dominate the AHL, but, I am sure Hall will be a bit rusty.

Should take Hall plenty of time to get back up to game shape and game speed - he's been out for quite awhile after that surgery. Nonetheless, really looking forward to see what he can eventually do.

I'm a little concerned with the above bolded statement. Is this precautionary for his shoulder, or is this because his conditioning is not up to par? If it's the former, then to me it sounds like he's returning to game action before he's ready.

Also, hopefully he sits on Nov. 9 so we can watch him on SNET on Nov. 10.

I'm assuming it's conditioning. Guy hasn't played in quite some time, playing in back-to-back-to-back games could really wear him out. Plus you through in the travel Saturday night to San Antonio and I can see why he'll be sitting one day.

Hell I wouldnt play any of the big 5 in back to back games during the lockout. It is very well known that players are more likely to get injured if playing dinged up or tired, why risk it OKC has lots of options to allow the stars to rest.
