His play at this level reminds me of prime Bertuzzi. It was brief, but it was a beautiful thing.

Kassian had a breakaway, but was robbed by Ellis.

Pinnizato has potential to be a great 4th liner.

Agreed. I had forgotten how great he was in the pre-season. He cleanly won the 4th line job, in my opinion. After he got hurt, we picked up Dale Weise to replace him.

While I do like Weise and think he has decent potential, I think Pinizzotto may be a better fit as a 4th line winger. His energy and hitting are relentless.

Tanev draws the penalty, and the Wolves are back on the PP.

Pinizzotto also has some offensive ability. Him and Lapierre could really make a hell of a 4th line duo.

Kassian in beast mode. He does look like Bertuzzi when he's pissed off.

So I come in here just to see the refs are once again horrible... seriously why is there no replay for a league that boasts of being the to developmental circuit for the big show? Completely illogical...

On the other hand, good to see Rodin finally get his first point, but he's going to have to be much better than what he'd shown earlier if he's to be considered a top 6 fwd prospect. I could be wrong but it looks like that healthy scratch has lit a fire under him, so it seemed like some tough love was in order there. Good to see he's responded (7 shots on goal to boot), and it's a start, but he has to keep improving and at least maintain this level of intensity.

Way better game for the Wolves than the scoreboard showed. Pretty poor reffing and a solid performance by the opposing netminder. Next game goes Friday at 5pm. We should start doing gameday threads or something, I'm sure there are a lot of fans out there looking for some hockey, and our prospects are doing very well and deserve the attention.

There is video replay this year, however, the AHL rules on replay state you can only use it in cases of determining if the puck crossed the line, beat the clock, the net was knocked off, etc.

The ref tonight said the waived off goal was due to interference.

I stand corrected then. Weren't there 2 waived off goals though from what I heard in this thread?
