Matheson with a horrible turnover.

Oh man, this is on Sportsnet. I seriously watched the whole first on a crappy stream. Luckily, I heard the dulcet tones of John Garrett and put two and two together.

Lack, as noted by the announcers, is doing a better job of staying up and challenging the shooters in this game.

Another tough period for Sauve. Playing with no confidence and game just appears too fast for him.

Joslin seems to be settling down, after a poor start to the season, and becoming at least steady.

Schroeder must bury his chances. The idea with Schroeder is that you were getting an elite level skill player who could overcome his stature by being very dangerous. Type of player that can snipe a goal or make a great play if given any sort of chance. Too many of his two on one passes don't get through and too many scoring chances just aren't converted. If he is just another player who does a decent job around the ice then his lack of size makes his advancement to the next level very questionable.

PK is definitely better in this game and they even got a power play goal.

Why the hell are we so bad defending their rush. I just saw a 2 on 3 lead to a 2 on 1 from our blueline in.

And that's exactly what Schroeder has to do.

You would think Shroeder would have more points with his sniping and playmaking ability.. Does he take multiple games off or something? it doesnt make a lot of sense.

He's 2nd in points behind Sterling, tied for 1st in goals. Wolves just aren't a very high scoring team. The fact that he has more goals than assists speaks volumes. It's hurting the team that both Ebbett and Haydar aren't pulling their weight like they were supposed to — these guys were signed to be top offensive players and right now are quite far down the list.

Look at Kassian going from 26 points in 30 games last season to where he's at right now.

He has a lot of bad luck, and linemates who's skill often lag behind his playmaking.

Line mates are terrible at finishing off his passing plays.

Playmakers need finishers.

I hope when the NHL returns Pinnizotto gets a shot on the Canucks. He'd be a good 12/13th forward.

He would challenge for a 4th line spot IMO.

Pretty nice pass by Sauve to start it off too.

Hopefully Sauve can build on that. His shifts are so up and down, doesn't seem to string positive shifts together.

Yeah, he's definitely been inconsistent. Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if he never sees the NHL again.

I was pretty choked when Pinnizotto went down with the shoulder injury. In last year's pre-season I was like, "man, we're gonna have a good 4th line this year". Then all the injuries happened and it was back to our usual rotating 4th line.

I really like the fact that he was a key piece on those two Calder Cup champion teams in Hershey. That kind of playoff experience in the pros is invaluable for role players IMO.
