Man.. tough luck. Lack was screened and the puck was tipped.

Longpre. He's pretty horrible defensively.

That third line is disgusting. Passengers all night long and costed us that goal by standing around twiddling their thumbs.

4th line needs to play more. At least they move their feet.

I think Eddie Lack would have better numbers with a better defense in front of him. Makes a big save there because of another turnover.

Some positives

Schroeder showed some talent tonite

Lack was way better.

Kassian showed some good hands around the net.

Sauve was far from perfect but better overall

Joslin is playing better -maybe some hope for depth here after all

Negatives

Rodin continues to get nothing really done - bad in his own end as was the rest of his line

Offensive punch Connauton was delivering has dried up. Connauton looked very average

Appeared like Pinizotto got a leg injury - was nursing it on the bench at the end of the second. Hopefully nothing serious.

Would say Ryan Ellis looked excellent. So Nashville has another good defenseman. What else is new.

Pinizotto didn't play the third period I believe. Hopefully it's just precautionary, or he truly just can't catch a break regarding injuries.

Wish Arniel would just stack two offensive lines and then run two bottom lines that are just solid defensively. Haydar should be benched, he's not contributing at either end of the ice (sure he had 2 points tonight but that comes off of a complete joke of a performance yesterday). Ebbett would be benched too ideally but he's the Wolves only other offensive center and Longpre is even worse defensively. His attempts at spreading out the offense amongst three lines are just maddening, then you end up with Schroeder's and Mallet's lines being the only ones playing well at ES, plus Kassian being completely wasted most of the time on that 2nd line.

The fact that Haydar is a captain is a complete joke. Don't care about his seniority and service to the Wolves, he looks like he couldn't give a **** that hockey is being played.

Not sure if it's the ice or the level of hockey but the puck doesn't around as fast and there's a lot of broken plays, the play is scrambly in comparison to the NHL.

Agreed with everything. Ryan Ellis is excellent defensively.

Arniel is an awful coach.

Of course it is scrambly, it's the AHL. It's definitely the level of hockey.

I don't know much about Matheson, but wow he's bad defensively. I would of benched him after the giveaway which lead to a break away with seconds to go in the period. I cringed every time he was on the ice.

Arniel... is pretty bad imo. His lines are a complete **** ***** this many games into the season? I could come up with a better lineup. Complete joke.

I just don't know why he shortened the bench in the 3rd. I thought Mallet's line look good all night, yet hardly touched the ice in the 3rd.

Its refreshing that Kassian and Schroeder are keeping pace with each other, though not a fan of the system they're playing in.

On the topic of Arniel, there never seems to be a line that sticks together so that they can build chemistry with one another.

The coach is probably just trying to get Haydar and Ebbett going by putting Kassian with them, though I would have liked to see him with Schroeder more in the 3rd period.

Kind of disappointed that they gave up a goal late in the 3rd, but oh well.

Is it just me, or did Lack not seem like his usual confident self? I don't think he was bad, just seemed a little uncomfortable for some strange reason...

I'm also liking the play of Mallet - his line was effective in the limited minutes they played, but I don't think they saw much ice in the 3rd period. He made a lot of good plays with the puck though when he was out there. Those first few minutes in the 3rd where the 4th line got hemmed in their own zone was probably the big turn-off for Arniel however. Overall though that line was pushing play in the right direction and was in the attacking end more often than not, so that's good to see from him.

Some of it had to do with losing Pinizotto and rearranging the lines. But yes if any players had to be shorted time it was Rodin and Longpre who were getting overwhelmed in their zone.

Sometimes when I don't watch Kassian for a while and only read reports from posters here I start to get discouraged. Then I watch him play and I realize there's just no way he won't be a top 6 forward in the NHL. Total package, he looked solid tonight.

I love Mallet. Schroeder still strikes me as a career AHLer. Needs some kind of breakthrough, dunno where it will come from.

Overall I'm disappointed with the Wolves. Not an energetic team to watch. Not sure what it is, coaching or personnel, but something's missing.
