And a PP like this shows why Connauton has an extremely limited NHL potential. His shot might be great but he's completely useless at moving the puck.

Yup.

Total one-trick pony.

He's a guy who will have to make the NHL based on his offensive skills, but his vision and puck movement simply aren't good enough, and he still can't generate offense at the AHL level in his 3rd season there. Big shot and that's all.

If he could play defense, it wouldn't matter, but he'll never be anything but below-average at the NHL level on that front either.

He should have been converted to forward a year ago. Still think that's the best route for him.
