1st line right wing for Canucks (DISSCUSION)

So instead of getting a right wing to play with Kes we should move burrows down to keslers line and get a player to play with the twins.
Clowe is a player that comes to mind.
Thoughts?

Personally I would've loved to of seen P.A Parenteau with Kesler and Booth. They need a playmaking winger :/

If we had ended up trading Schneider I would have hoped for something around Voracek or Purcell, with the former being preferable but the latter being more realistic.

Agreed. Too bad the Oilers are a divisional rival, if we could deal Luongo or even Schneider and work something around Hemsky, maybe get Gagner too depending on which is dealt:

Sedins - Burrows
Booth - Kesler - Hemsky
Higgins - Gagner - Hansen
Weise - Malhotra - Kassian

Now that I would looove to see.

Wheeler would've been a good "buy low" option in 2011 but no way he's dealt now. Don't think LA is looking to shop Williams either.

Kind of hoping the Flames crash and burn this upcoming season so they can shop Tanguay, that would be a great deadline acquisition.

I think Bobby Ryan would be the best fit, good luck getting Anaheim to let him go though.

For Vancouver, it's **** or get off the pot time. The team is at the stage where you may need to drop a lot of futures to get that one piece that's needed to win the cup. It's an unfortunate truth. All teams go through this stage sooner or later, and Vancouver has had a decent time as a constant contender.

The unfortunate thing is that it left the cupboard a bit bare when it comes down to prospects and building for the future.

I'd hate to see this time come to an end when the Vancouver core outlives its usefulness and there's no Stanley cup to show for it.

I agree with trading a lot of futures for a chance to win.

I wouldn't mind Perry, but he's a UFA soon, so I'd prefer a player with a few years left.

If you want Clowe then Im sure San Jose would want prospects/picks for him.

To Van: Clowe and a 6th.
To San Jose: Schroeder/Kassian, Raymond and a 2nd.

I would be willing to give up Bourque and a 5th for a 2nd round pick.

Done and Done. Hell as long as it isn't Kassian or Jensen I'd throw in a piece like Sauve

SJS laugh and say no however

^I would do that if it were Schroeder. Clowe is an upcoming UFA, and doesn't merit moving a prospect like Kassian.

Trade some good picks for a 1st line stud, don't care if we suck 6 years from now if we got a cup to show for it.

I'd take the Clowe deal.

Quite well actually. I'd be very apprehensive about moving him unless it was for a very, very good player.

Really good, he's scoring and hitting and fighting and doing everything he should, although still needs to work on his consistency. It's obvious his confidence was what held him back in the NHL last season. He's also improved his skating too.

Yeah, no thanks. You all remember the crazy that people were willing to give up for Tuomp Ruutu at the deadline last season?

I'd do it if it were Kassian, no thanks on Schroeder.

Pretty damn good. Playing physical, fights, goals. He actually reminds me A LOT like Bertuzzi. Protects the puck really well, strong down low, plays physical and can snipe timely goals

I think if we lose the whole season and Kassian spends the duration with the wolves continuing his play we may have an option in the making. Maybe by the time burrow's starts faltering he'll be developed.

I'd give up the farm for Perry particularly if we could get him locked up.
