GDT: Milwaukee@Houston[MINN/DAL](II) 7:35 CST

Milwaukee now with a 5 game winning streak, plays Houston once again tonight. Milwaukee now playing .700 hockey for the year, then comes home, and guess who they play in their next game? Houston for the third time in a row. So if you think last night was chippy, and it was...wait until these next two.

Admirals will have played 19 home games and 31 road games after tonight.

With Pivko and Yablonski not even on the trip, about the only personnel questions for tonight's game would be does Finley start again or does Noel come back with Kotyk?...Henry has been a healthy scratch(the only one actually)for the last 3 games on the blueline.

Gamache,Hamhuis,Haydar now all with 5 game scoring streaks. But the big line last night was Lundbohm-Smtihson-Tootoo line, scoring the two clutch last goals.

I've been so impressed by Dan Hamhuis. He could have easily taken this year off and played lackluster and without passion like several NHLers have done on the AHL and European level. He's taken the puck and run with it and he's arguably the best AHLer going right now (skater-wise) up there with the likes of Spezza. That's not bad company.

hard not to be smokey i agree...if MIL continues to play well, and finishes near the top in team point totals, and hamhuis continues to play as well as he has(and i see no reason that both of these won't happen)and there is no season in the nhl..then i expect hamhuis to get many votes as the defensiveman of the year in the AHL,which would be quite an honor considering how many NHL'ers are in the AHL this year

notice that whatever line smithson is centering normally takes the opening faceoff for the Admirals...this is because smithson must be winning 60% of his faceoffs this year..shame that the AHL doesn't keep official faceoff stats, but guarantee you that Noel does..milwaukee does have 4 good draw takers though, all 4 centers do a pretty solid job...smithson,hrkac,fiddler,smith...but i think it's a given that smithson is the best at draws

Kyle with abundance of praise of the offensive, stickhandling and passing progression of Tootoo and his game this year in the AHL......nice to hear he is trying to add a dimension to his "energy" role....

Sounds like an NBA type brawl to end the period ...luckily all confined to the rink and only 2 two minute roughings out of it...must have been alot of sissy slapping going on out there

nothing-nothing at the 2nd break..hell of a defensive struggle thru 2 periods...ads cann't beat their goalie or the post(gamache and klein both off the pipes)..and finley has saved our rear so far, making many real tough saves sounds like
