No poll, but it's a toss-up for me between John Tavares and Jonathan Quick

It takes a little bit of time for me to submit the poll choices after creating the thread. The poll is up now.

Had to go with Tavares. I have lost confident in Ovechkin. Damn you lockout!!!

Glad to see Anaheim got Malkin. Honestly i rather have him than Crosby.

Shea Weber might be a good choice too but i rather have a #1 Center than #1 D-man.

Voted Karlsson. Can see the argument for Tavares as well.

Tavares by a slim margin over Ovechkin.

Every player on that list is a franchise player, and if I had to put them in order I would put Tavares last.

Tavares is the big franchise player up there?

What about Lundqvist, a perennial Vezina trophy contender? Karlsson, the recent Norris trophy winner? Pietrangelo, the complete package defenseman who is still very young? Toews, who's one of the greatest leader in the game, while having a similar offensive output as Tavares, and a Conn Smythe on top of that? Quick, one of the best goalie in the game who also happen to be the most recent Conn Smythe winner?

And there's that guy Ovechkin as well.

Tavares is far from being the big franchise player on that list. I can understand why people would pick him due to his age and his perceived upside, but he has done absolutely nothing to justify winning this poll by a landslide.

I think Winnipeg takes Toews here. Hometown kid is a huge part of it
