So tired of watching Ponder attempt to play QB...

Vikings hang 50 on the Bears with a serviceable QB.

Ponder's very average. He will never be elite.

Is Ponder is average, most every other QB in the league must be elite.

Did our win yesterday cost us a Super Bowl?

Ugh that DET-GB game was a letdown, mostly because I chose to watch the wrong half.

Probably at least 3. One for every pass Ponder completed over 5 yards in the air.

LOL @ Kirk Cousins being a better QB than Ponder already. And he's a 4th rounder.

Honestly I think they ought to look at drafting a QB in the middle rounds if someone interesting is available. Russell Wilson, Nick Foles, Cousins, and Ryan Lindley were mid- to late-round picks. Granted Lindley might be worse than Ponder but the other three could be serviceable.

Correia is really average, but average is an upgrade for this pitching staff.

I almost think the Twins are at the point where they traded Revere and Span for later pitching because they can't get free agents to sign here. This isn't helping.

From what I hear about Hicks, moving Revere & Span now for quality pitchers/prospects for 2014/2015 was a smart move.

I LOL'd when LEN-III said the Twins weren't moving Morneau or Hammer because they "weren't giving up on 2013 yet"

If the Hicks/Buxton/Sano/Gibson group don't pan out, we could be bad for a loooooong time.

Sounds like Buxton and Sano are a couple years off still.

Okay, the Strib Comments are ridiculous. Yes he's a meh pitch to contact guy, but they didn't sign him to be an ace, just a guy to eat up some innings and maybe be a 3-5 guy. Wasn't expecting Greinke or anything.

True. He did go I believe 12-11 last year on an average team like the Pirates (although I think they were in the hunt for a while in their division), so he probably isn't that bad. Yes, an improvement I agree. Though we are going to toss $10M at him for two years, which isn't peanuts.

Which reminds me, did we get rid of the Mad Capper yet?

Yes, Capps is gone.

My first preference for the Twins would be spend money on players that will make the team better for the next 3-5 years, not just place holders. A lot of rookies coming up and a veteran or two would be nice on the pitching staff.

Second preference is to spend money to improve for this and next year while we wait for the kids to come up. You have the money. Spend it.

Grantland gives Ponder some BQBL love

If they replaced the quarterback in Minnesota with a pedestal that Adrian Peterson grabbed the ball from on every down, I don’t think any opposing defensive coordinators would change their game plan.
Really, that column is so snarky good, a must-read on Tuesdays.

Don't forget about Arcia and Rosario, I'd consider both better prospects than Hicks.
