Fisher got some crazy calls his way.

At least he fouled out.

Fisher has always annoyed me, probably because he's always played for teams I don't like (The Lakers)

From Chip Soggins

Quote:
Kevin Love is the Wolves best player, but Rubio is their most important one -- and there's a difference in those two.

Love is one of the NBA's Top 10 players and the game's best power forward. He scores inside or out, rebounds like crazy and makes double-double performances a nightly occurrence.

But Rubio ties it all together. He makes everyone better, even Love, who missed Saturday's game because of flulike symptoms.

Rubio influences a game in myriad ways, whether it's with his passing, his scoring or his defense. It's no coincidence that the Wolves fell apart in his absence last season.

Rubio makes this team go. His teammates feed off him and the energy he creates with his no-look passes and flair for the dramatic.

I'm actually enjoying watching the Wolves this year. Excited to see Love and Rubio back on the court together. Kirilenko has been a huge part of the team this year. A great pickup.

Also, I still am baffled of how many white guys we have. Didn't we draft another too?

We drafted Hummell but he was a late second round pick and late second round picks rarely touch the floor in the NBA. Kirilenko = MVP so far, he's done everything for this team.

It'd make our 3 game more than just Shved, that's for sure.

if peterson wants to break dickerson's record, he pretty much needs 200 yards today

still got a ways to go, but he made it more feasible today.

both houston and GB clinch today as well...gives us a fighting chance at the playoffs though it's still unlikely

AP needs 294 over the next 2 games to break the record.
Both the Texans and Packers have clinched playoff spots.
He has a realistic shot at the record.

playoff hopes still alive.

Remaining teams to root for:

Steelers over Dallas.
Buffalo over Seattle (Not happening)
New England over San Fran (Better for Seahawks to win division at this point for vikings playoff chances)

I was thinking about it earlier. With a more competent QB I think the Vikes' record only moves from 8-6 to 9-5. I think they win at Green Bay and that's it. Mayyyyybe pick up a win at Indy, but lose at Seattle was inevitable, defense didn't show up against Tampa or at Chicago, and RG3 manhandled the Vikes' D. They've done about as good as they could, in my opinion.

I think we beat Washington. I remember 3 early trips to the RZ and only getting 3 FGs. Turn 1 or 2 of them into TDs and I think we have a different game.

i think we win a few more but the big problem in some of our losses has been WR, they showed up today, hell if Simpson had played the whole year the way he did today we would be in a better position.

And yes, this is almost exactly what he needs to do to 'manage' the game. I still saw moments of uncertainty and erratic play...like when he held on to the ball in the pocket and one time where he threw the ball 20 feet over Jenkins' head. Also, weird time management at the end of the first half - obviously still got a FG out of it but the 2 yard completion in bounds to Simpson(?) was the incorrect throw. Otherwise, yes, job well done.

Those who put down the Wolves and the NBA REALLY ought to watch Rubio just for a night. It's incredible. Like watching Datsyuk dangling and stickhandling. So much fun.

AP. That's all. Game over.

Ponder looked pretty good I thought, which is not the same as saying Ponder is pretty good and also not the same as Ponder is coming along. But give credit where it is due, back to back games he has made some very good throws and completions when it needed to be done, and his scrambling was solid. He's still second-guessing himself but at least was making some decisions rather than letting the other team make them for him.

With a good QB we def win at Green Bay and possibly win one more. That would put us on top of the division right now. That's incredible.

And yes the clock management at the end of the first half of pretty much every game has been baffling.
