It's cool. I don't think she'll mind. She isn't exactly shy.

Sweet, best of luck and keep us updated.

It's also a good screening technique. If the girl doesn't like the Wire, she's probably not worth keeping. Sadly this doesn't work as well with girls who don't understand English perfectly, much less Baltimorese.

It took me a little while to catch on to some of the dialogue. I still don't know what Snoops says sometimes

The first episode I saw was the first episode of the fourth season. The entire season was on Demand, so I just started watching it there. When she rolls into that Tool Barn or whatever it was called to get a new nail gun and starts talking about how she's seen .22s drop people plenty of times but "big joints" just break bones... I had to rewind that four or five times to even get the point the first time I watched it.

Same. I think she says "I seen a tiny ass twenty two round nose drop a ****** plenty a days, man. Mother****ers get up on you like a pinball. Big joints, though, big joints... just breaks their bones and say **** it." Not sure though.

It's pretty good, but not sure if I will bother watching the rest after these two seasons I just finished.

I have never seen The Wire, but I have no doubt based on what I have read of it here that if I were to watch it I would be massively disappointed.

I had the same skepticism. I watched it and the rest is history.

Probably. You had to catch the bandwagon a while back to avoid it being overhyped. At the same time, it's hard to not hype up the best thing ever done with cameras.

Can't say that I have seen The Wire. I have become Hollywood illiterate over the years as the industry has become an sewer flowing out of control with all this crap coming out. I rarely watch anything that is of today on tv or in the theaters for that matter. In fact, I didn't see 2 and a Half men for the 1st ever time until 2011 and that show started back in 2003.

Have watched very little TV in the past 2 years. Not much entertainment compared to the internet.

Today's Hollywood blows!!! Almost everything on tv and of the big screen sucks. Almost all of the actors and actresses suck as well for the industry today is far too obsessed with people who look good but have no talent.

It's annoying how it sometimes seems like virtually all movies released by Hollywood these days are derivative works. Seems like there's no room left for original filmmaking.
