Make Whole, Not War (CBA & Lockout Discussion) XIX
Aaron ward was saying to a reporter on twitter that his sources initials is POB... Someone is getting updates from the meetings and telling some players, who are then telling some media people.
I think Ward's tweet was in reference to ***************, not about Ward's sources
Rob Rossi is one of the few guys who isn't truthworthy. I'm not calling out a source, but being a Pens fan and seeing his work, I'd put him on Eklund's level.
Talks and meetings are good. I just can't believe we are where we are. I understood the last one, but not this one.
As of 5 mins ago I was told #NHL #nhlpa meeting was still going.
Yeah....but they called a pizza for dinner........took too long to figure out how to split that baby in half....turned cold...had to order another one!!!!
What this tells me is that Daly and Steve Fehr should be leading negotiations; unlike D Fehr and Gary, they appear to be able to have a productive, mature labor discussion.
I'd prefer if they don't personally. It would probably mean they are actually on to something and would rather focus on that than simply pandering to the media some more.

That's true, but it's so painful to not know what's going on.

If their jobs were reversed, it would be Gary and Don sitting in a room for five hours. It's simply the nature of the job.
And let's be honest here: Daly has cast way more aspertions, done way more media wrangling throughout this thing than Bettman has.

We'll hear typical banalities about "progress being made" and vague plans to meet in the next few days.
Best thing we can hear is that a conference call with the players has been called.

Well...if the next CBA last for 6 years......Bettman will then be 66 years old and D.Fehr will be at 70 years old......not sure they will both take care of bussiness for very long...
I'm starting to think the interns planted cardboard cutouts of Daly and S. Fehr in some random conference room, and some random guy with binoculars is like "Yep, they're still there."

Haven't heard anything new on Daly-Steve Fehr meeting since my last tweet. Further update from me, if there is one, likely to come in a.m.
