Very good win! Came from behind and held it together when things got sloppy.

I'd have to stream both, but my MacBook is not powerful enough to get a decent stream (too old to have the proper plug-ins to match the current browser specifications for streaming programmes).

Besides, at 2:00 to 5:00 in the bloody middle of the night, it's hard enough to keep one's eyes open wide enough to even watch ONE game!

Wolves hosting IceHogs

Jordan Binnington makes AHL debut

Will not be able to watch much of it. Got something to do.

Fairchild not in lineup for 2nd night in a row.

Wannstrom has some pep in his step. Stepped out front again for quick shot.

Good defensive play by Rattie, but Binnington needs to tighten up a little on the through-crease passes.

Nice feed across to RCK fwd and Binnington big save on somewhat decent shot. His first AHL save

Binnington using butterfly

Binnington plays low to the ice like Hasek

Jaskin in alone and mishandled his backhand move! Ah! Goalie was beat!

Shields pinched for a good chance but saved

Wolves PP but AHL refs are bad. They make phantom calls or in or straight-up incorrect calls and just missed two calls against the Wolves.

Puck poked past defender and he held RCK fwd stick. No call
Puck poked past another Wolves defender and he interfered. No call

Binnington great save, great vision on Wolves PK. He plays low and stuck his leg out.

Edmundson hit hard and hurt...IceHogs score

Rockford leads 1-0

Gotta go

Binnington's first stop was a showcase of some great lateral movement.

Also he has the Fresh Prince on his mask! lol

The goal he let up was not his fault. And how about the non call on Winchester crosschecking Edmundson from behind.

Yeah it wasn't, was a pretty good deflection by Ol' Stone Hands. Nice goal by Bolduc.

Glad Binnington is getting the start today. Glad we are getting to see how he can perform in the AHL.

I'm using the link from firstrow, if the problem that you are having is that you can't enlarge is because you have ******* and there is an Ad in front of the enlarge button and need to turn off ******* and need to just X out of the ads. Or if you tuned in during intermission they were doing interviews over commercials.

How is Chorney the captain of the Wolves. He just baffles me sometimes with his decision making.

EDIT: And the Chorney penalty keeps the Wolves from winning in regulation.

Binnington with two huge pad saves in OT!

People watch the puck so much more in the AHL and puck support seems to be an intermittent thing.

And now we head to shootout, where Binnington will be critical to the outcome.

Rattie beats Labarbara but hits the crossbar.

Binnington follows up with an easy save.

Aucoin with a 5 hole rip. 1-0

Binnington sticks with it. 1-0

Wannstrom tries to make the same move he scored on last SO, but fails to convert.

Binnington gets deked for a 5-hole goal.

Jaskin scores with a shot over the blocker. 2-2

Binnington with a glove save off some dangles.

Locke scores the winner. 3-2

4-3 Final

CelticNote...Looks like another late breakdown by the Wolves on the PK. The AHL is a good league, but you are correct, in that players often get caught watching the play and often lack discipline in other areas.

I guess that is why they are in the AHL and not the NHL. Also, AHL officiating is atrocious. I guess that is why they are in the AHL and not the NHL. Same goes for college football announcers. They suck.

Chorney looks very good at times, but at other times it appears he does not belong in ice hockey. But the same goes for the well-respected Evan Oberg. Looks very good sometimes, but makes the dumbest plays and stops skating at the worst times.

For anyone interested, here's the game summary from yesterday.

Jordan Binnington got his 1st AHL victory.

Every time I look at your avatar, CelticNote, I cry out, Wilson!

I was able to watch some of this game (2nd). Binnington looked pretty good during that time. I would be hesitant to trade him away for help for The Blues.

Pretty much all of the D in the AHL have those moments. But sometimes it can be hard to watch even though I realize the difference in the two leagues. I also agree that it is still a really good league and I most certainly enjoy watching the Wolves.

The AHL is a quality league. Watching The CHL can sometimes be more frustrating than The NHL. But I think it's interesting to watch all levels, having played in several, and had kids, other family members and friends covering most of the levels, including The NHL, and The old Canadian senior (amateur) leagues, when they had the same calibre play as some of the pro leagues now.

I have to agree with you. I watch the games sometimes and think...how did this guy slip through the cracks? Then I watch them for a while and....oh...nevermind...

Back in the 70s and 80s, there was some really good hockey on the semi pro level...and much on the level of Slapshot... You look at some of the old penalty minute totals and wonder when guys actually played enough to score 10 goals.

I guess I just meant the defense can be frustrating to watch. I used to play d, so I am harder on the d

I'll take the role of Chicago Blues and Celtic Note: Another nice night for our two AHL studs in the Wolves' 2-1 win over Milwaukee. Jaskin with a goal and 4 shots (leads lead the team in SOG despite playing as much as 11 fewer games than some regulars and has 4 shots or more in 16 of his 24 games) while Allen makes 25 saves and allows 1 GA despite Admirals having 7 PP's. Wolves have moved up to 5th in the West after an 8-1-1 surge in last 10.
