I liked the last few rounds from Bute and he saved it for me... but the judge who gave 118-110? Seriously? It was a lot closer than that.
But wth do I know about boxing? I'll always be more impressed by fighters who initiate offense than by fighters who just defend and give one punch every round.
Bute should leave the bell center before the police find him... that's a steal
Naw. 116-112 makes sense. Bute had the first 3 rounds, 4th was debatable, Grachev crushed the 5th and dominated up to the 8th, then Bute came back and controlled the fight better, and ended strong at the 11th and 12th rounds.
But 118-110 is just epic homer, No way you only give 2 rounds to Grachev. There is no way. He won 4 or 5.

5th round scared him ****less. He saw his career end in that round.

No, it wasn't. I had 116-112, with three rounds that could have really be either way. But it seems the judge who gave the 118-110 went with whom was the better boxer as opposed to whom had the better round.

Me too..... Bute was running around all night long and to me, Grachev took the center of the ring tonight.

I actually gave 4, 5, 7 and 8 to Grachev. Round 6 was really a judgment call and Bute did threw the better punches in that round (Grached dictated the round but couldn't really land).
Personally, I didn't like this fight and some previous fights from earlier tonight showed way more intensity. Bute was too passive and lacked of confidence. He didn't want to open up at round 9-10 because there was a chance that he wouldn't finish the fight. Finally, Bute has more skills and talent than Grachev and could have shown it right at the beginning.
Pascal had a good fight against Froch, 2 good close fight against Hopkins and he beat Dawson. Bute had never beat a good fighter. Bute-Pascal should be a close fight but i give the edge to Pascal.
Je sais pas, Bute at the end of the last round had a hell lot of confidence
Oui, but it took him until the 12th round to get that confidence... All of Froch/Pascal/Stevenson would not let him get that far. They would end the fight quickly.
I believe that the Bute we saw in the 12th round is the real Bute. He just needs to work on his mental. The Froch fight really hurt his confidence.

I pretty much agree. I gave round 6 to Bute but round 10 to Grachev so I had it 115-113 Bute. ESPN's Dan Rafael gave it 116-112 for Bute.
I was there tonight and really, Bute was underwhelming. He can thank his capacity to dodge punches and his defense because if not, his night would've been much shorter... :/
