Really solid defensive performance but Leftwich absolutely lost that game
ya that was ugly. the ravens aren't very good apparently. seriously, if wallace keeps his feet we win that game. or if we just had a quarterback in general

Batch doesn't lose games, but Leftwich sure does.
I'm absolutely furious at Tomlin for leaving him in when it was not only so clearly not working...he was clearly hurting and his physical ability to complete passes was drained.
Leftwich never falls that short of a pass attempt. The dude has a lot of faults, but arm strength certainly is nowhere near that list.
A frustrating game to lose for sure. There's no way we lose this game with Roethlisberger playing...hell, maybe even just Brown being back could have at least given Leftwich a decent target at the receiver position considering Wallace obviously doesn't even care anymore.
Baltimore is about as frightening as a declawed housecat this year...but this puts them in the driver's seat for the division.

Probably the worst call of the game is the fade to Wallace on 3rd and 2 deep in Ravens territory. Wallace should of caught it in bounds but Dwyer was running well all game, just give him the ball twice there. I knew settling for the FG there was going to lead to nothing. The team was having trouble moving the ball all game, have to go all in when you have a chance for a TD.

I'm sorry, but a play that should have been caught for a touchdown was not the worst playcall of the day.

Yeah, that's what bothered me the most. Should have hand the ball to Dwyer.
Just shows how tough Ben is considering Leftwich has played about 30 snaps in his Steelers career (preseason included) and has been ko'd for the season in the preseason once and then when he finally makes a start he can't physically finish the game.
Same with Batch, got ko'd in the preseason once, came into the 2nd half of a game one season and played a quarter and got hurt, missed the rest of that season.
Dennis Dixon lasted 2 games before getting ko'd for the season the one year he played.
The offensive play calling in the second half should be a fireable offense. Down three and Dwyer is just pounding away and the team put up 135 yards before the fourth quarter even started. Why is Mendenhall in there and why are you forcing an injured Leftwich to throw the ball down field? Where is the dink and dunk and where is Dwyer?
Ravens made one ****ing play all night and they let them win off of it. Ravens backed up that punt return with a normal Flacco under pressure performance and a D that was getting the ball ran down their throat.

I honestly have no clue how Ben has survived.
Leftwich has a set of balls on him. This is the guy that got carried down the field by two linemen because he was playing on a broken ankle at Marshall, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has some type of rib injury which are agonizing for everyday movement let alone football.
