The even sadder story is the dogs didn't get him right away. Which makes it embarassing for the parents to just stand there apparantly and not jump in after him.

Anyways, the NFL is a joke. I hate when all it takes is to throw a ball up for grabs because its either going to be a huge gain or a PI call.

Rainey is a beast.

The first two were not correct and yeah that lead to the TD and shouldve been a field goal so Giants have 4 points that shouldnt be there due to penalties. The 3rd call (the fumble) was correct as I claimed and now basically every panelist is saying it was correct too. Take the blinders off.

That all being said those kind of ticky tacky calls happen EVERY game, it is not exclusive or out of the ordinary in this game. There is no such thing as a perfectly reffed game, its almost always a roll of the dice and in the first half the Giants came out on top with those rolls. From experience though I have a strong feeling that the Steelers will be on the winning end of some of those dice rolls in the second half. Those of you who have seen enough football know that is basically always the case.

Lets not pretend like this is a Seattle/Green Bay reffed debacle.

What's funny is that all of a sudden, Simms thinks it's a fumble. If a QB's hand is coming forward, and the ball comes out...that's an incomplete pass. Tuck rule 101.

Honestly, in today's NFL it's not a bad idea to run a play a few times a game that consist of just simply chucking the ball deep in hopes to grab a call. Seems all a receiver has to do is make a fuss at the end of a play and a flag gets tossed in his favor. I really hate when the late ones come out like that.

It is far different from GB/SEA. That was underqualified refs making a mistake in a pressure situation. These refs are not making mistakes, they are doing what their boss wants.

Yes.

And yes.

NFL refs are bad. Fix or no, and given the circumstances poor reffing is going to smell fishy, this is a prime example of the kind of bad officiating that is, er should be, a pox on the league. Except it's heightened because it's all on display in one highlight, nationally-televised game. And because the calls are so poor.

Yep, as a parent, I'm in there. 5/6 people get in there and those dogs aren't gonna be so eager to pounce.

Or Woodley.

I honestly think Woodley is a bit overrated too.

Woodley got some good pressure on the third-down that forced the missed 51 yard field goal. still agree about him being overrated thou.

Have to agree about Woodley. Harrison has simply gotten too old.
And how about Wallace? I say, don't let the door hit your *** on the way out. Sanders is just as good. Give Cotchery a bigger role. What a disappointment MW has been this year.

I'll be honest, I'd probably freeze up and panic. I havent been to the zoo there, I am not sure what the area looks like or how deep the fall looks like. I don't want to blame the parents in a situation like that especially when it doesnt seem like anyone else there decided to jump in.

I'd like to think that if I were at a zoo and and subject to the horror of watching someone's child fall and potentially be mangled that I'd like to play hero and save him/her. The reality of the situation is when stuff gets real it's hard to really know how you'll react.
