I'm practising with vCash before I start betting actual money. You get your stake back on real bets too, right?

Yes. Stake + winnings.

£1 on a 2/1 returns £3.

And 1 on a 1/10 returns 1.10. Start low, aim high. Accrue a fortune after about three decades of betting on heavy tennis favourites.

I'm back.

Had a French professor for my European Studies lecture, it was hilarious when he tried so hard to pronounce the "H" in Hungary, and when he tried to say "iron" all I heard was a random noise

There was a time when Federer was 1/10 to win Wimbledon, if not even shorter odds. Those were the days.

99 I think it's only fair that you give us a picture of the picture that guy took of his arranged rendezvous. What goes around comes around. Reciprocity and ****.

I seem to remember someone bet something on Federer winning a certain number of Wimbledon's before a certain age at ridiculous odds.

It's Ungarn in German and there are lots of silent h sounds in English.

French people can't pronounce the letter H, Italians can't either.

They don't say "have" they say "'ave" and it wasn't "Hungary" it was "Ooongary"

Yup. Guy was a bit of a nutter. Staked a couple thousand pounds on Roddick winning 7+ or 10+ slams. But his bets about Federer sure paid off.

Don't forget that in Russia, "h" is interchangable with "y," seemingly.

Yup. I hear that in German too. The Italian "i" is always pronounced ee.

There isn't a Y in Russian, they don't need it because they have е (ye) я (ya) and ю (you)

H in Russian is an X but it's more of a light "ch" sound
