Subway Super Series

I figured I'd make a thread for this seeing it's the 3rd period and none was made...

Down 4-1 to start the third. Ouellette scored the lone QMJHL goal assisted by Huberdeau and Mantha. What are your thoughts? I also seen Melindy was thrown out for a checking from behind call..LOL way to represent James. Lets make a come back boys

Tough game for the QMJHL players as some of them are now playing for a 3rd night in a row. The Russian goaltending has been a decisive advantage too.

For sure. Vasilevski is going to be force for years to come. He's arguably the best goaltender taken in the 2012 NHL draft facing off against an undrafted goaltender...

Rough game for MacKinnon, no points and a minus 4.

There is a thread in the International forum, but no one is posting on it. This is a top quality series that is a preview of Ufa, and everyone on the International forum seems to be focused on the World Junior A Challenge, whatever that is.

One thing that stood out last night was the very poor quality of the ice, which hampered both teams equally. I don't ever remember seeing ice that bad! Stickhandling and passing was an adventure because the puck just stuck to the ice, so you never knew what would happen. Hopefully, Val D'or will have a better sheet.

Usually the ice in Blainville is good, I forgot that this is Russia's top team...

The World Junior A Challenge is for the best player not in CHL hockey.
