Neuvirth stands on his head, Devils win 3-2

Washington DC -- The New Jersey Devils walked away with a victory tonight, their 5th of the sim period. It was the showdown everyone was looking forward to, the first Capitals/Devils game since the blockbuster trade where New Jersey said goodbye to Sweedish defenseman Adam Larsson. Michal Neuvirth, who has played sensational hockey since becoming a Devil, played outstanding and carried his team to victory. "They tried a ton of wrist shots from the slot, luckily I was able to get them all", said goalie Michal Neuvirth after the game, "being a former Cap obviously gave me a bit of an advantage. I was able to read their plays and get into good position for their shots.", Neuvirth continued, "its nice to get the win against your former team.". Devils GM Chessarmy refused to discuss Commissioner Fuss' discontent with the Washington/New Jersey trade, "I don't care about that, we won the game, its two points closer to where we need to be, that is all that matters".

Fuss, who was in attendance tonight, wouldn't budge on his opinion, "who cares? They won a game, so what? It was still a stupid trade. Go away".

Devils coach Pete Deboer was happy with the game, "if it wasn't for our goalie we would have lost. So, we basically sucked tonight, but Neuvirth bailed us out. yay". Goalie Michal Neuvirth was not shy about touting his success since joining the Devils, he makes sure to mention his greatness during every media session. "I am ****ing awesome", said Neuvirth after the game, "that's why we won". Devils back-up goaltender Martin Brodeur was unavailable for comment after the game, his hearing aid seemed to be malfunctioning. "What? I can't hear you", said the veteran goalie.

Devils lines-

Kovalchuk-Zajac-Perreault
Elias-Marleau-Henrique
Frolov-Zubrus-Latandresse
Pesonen-Josefson-Bernier

Phillips-Greene
Schultz-Tallinder
Engelland-Fayne

Neuvirth
Brodeur

I know I'm new to the league, but do you do this for every single game/trade/transaction you make? Seems like overkill to me.

I actually find it pretty entertaining, especially the Sabres vs Panthers one.

Just lost 5-2 to WSH. Once again my again my 3rd period play was lacking, I had a number of scoring chances which I liked so all I have to do is work on finishing plays and I think I should be back to normal.

are working on ruining their chances at a #1 draft pick after back to back shutouts of and

Rask was the big star of the game against , absolutely robbing them of the game tying goal on a diving desperation save to close up an empty net chance. Montreal completely dominated the game with 10min of TOA, but couldn't get anything past Rask.

The following game against Tampa, showed Rask riding his high from the previous game, in a very tightly contested defensive game where the #s were close to dead even with the exception of faceoffs where Boston had a decisive edge.

Good games guys, I think Rask earned his paycheck in these two.

Speaks to my experience this season as a whole, can't buy a goal despite having a pretty good team and usually playing pretty well.

I managed to squeak out a SO win against Washington at least. Although that was another game I should have won in regulation IMO, took every stat category

Make that 3 straight SO's for Rask to close out the period, this time against Ovi and the seemingly freight train hitting entire team that is WAS. I don't understand how that ENTIRE team can seem to lay the most brutal hits on anyone from any position. I'm saving the replay of one of the coolest hits i've ever seen though, its impressive lol.

What's your guys policy regarding the club team? Anyone in the league can be a part of it or is it an invite only thing?

Anyone can be in the club. I only ask that you have a headset when you play with us.

Spoke to GM. He should either be online now or shortly to enable his CPU. Stuck in Calgary without a phone or Xbox

I thought I hit hard, but then I played WSH lol. I'd say we are the two hardest hitting teams in the league because people were flying left and right in our game lol
