Gaudreau was labeled as too small from the get go. He outperformed most of if not all of the USHL players that were drafted ahead of him in his draft year. He led his team to a championship that year as well. The he goes to BC and puts up excellent numbers as an undersized freshman and was a key factor in them becoming Nationa Champions, now as a sophomore I think he has a legit shot at the Hobey Baker and being a back to back NCAA Champion. There is also talk he could go pro as early as next season, despite having the long term project label slapped on him due to his size.
Johnny Gaudreau has incredible skill mixed with an unmatched work ethic and clutch ability. The kids has all the tools needed to make it and be a star.
I just kind of hope I get to see him in Abbotsford for a year before he makes the Flames.
