The Herald every Thanksgiving publishes an article written by Gerry Callahan in 1992 about high school football on Thanksgiving . Its a must read, give it a shot.
Unlike baseball, basketball, and hockey, this is it for the seniors. There's no adult grabass football leagues. This is the final time 90% of these kids will ever play the sport again.
So I got TRIPLE CHARGED for an online order, and all three charges just hit my account as pending, which is now overdrawn by over $150.
The worst of it is? The company I bought from isn't around until MONDAY. The weird thing is, all three charges are in different amounts. I made one order. They seem to have realized they screwed up, as there are two credits for the two incorrect amounts, but they haven't hit yet.
So I'm now forced to travel with zero money, as Wells Fargo can't do anything. A dispute takes up to 10 business days. They were nice, but I feel like if a charge is still pending, and they can see the credits that will soon be posted, they should be able to remove the incorrect amounts.

Heeh. You are having a holiday like I am. I had an issue with the RMV with week.....well their "databases" went down...so now I cant solve it until (hopefully) Friday. so, my brother is driving me to Thanksgiving.
sorry for your troubles.....crappy time of year for that to happen.
luckily, i am off work today because we keep up the terwilliger tradition of having three thanksgivings to go to. my mom's first then both of my in-laws in the afternoon. i'll be lucky to be able to breathe by the end of the night.
they're doing world series highlights on mlb network, if anyone's interested. looks like the 90's world series too. 95 was pretty great. 99 was a lot of fun too.

Made it to 6am watching GWTW - put Tara's theme on my mp3 player. I think it's gonna be back on TCM December 15 for the anniversary of the Atlanta premiere - and I'll be watching.

The Massachusetts high school football Thanksgiving tradition is stupid.
I find it to be a great way to start Thanksgiving. Some of the rivalries are over a hundred years old. Nothing better than walking into Marciano Stadium and hearing the Brockton band belting out the National Anthem and fight song on Turkey Day. Sucks that Everett has no one to play on Thanksgiving anymore. Brockton vs B-R is in it's infancy as far as rivalries go but it should take off, anyway on to the playoffs for the Boxers, bring another Super Bowl home to the City of Champions!!!

Pretty sure Sesame Street just alluded to saying the F word. Elmo was singing a song about chickens and ducks or something, and he said something to the effect of "Count the chickens and the ducks.
